For fourteen years as a landlord we have been living in the same house and extremely happy: The central yet quiet location in a clean, "green" area is a small city oasis where it can live very well. - And for our guests we are - door to door - (almost) always approachable!
I stayed in the apartment for a little more than one month while I took a German course and also took advantage of the rich cultural life of Berlin. The place is very quiet and cosy, but also very well located near to the Bellevue Station, which gives you rapid access to any place you want to go in Berlin.
The hostess, Susanne, is very nice and always answered promptly during the period of arrangements before my arrival and, being nearby, gave all the assistance during my stay. I can say I had the experience of feeling at home in Berlin, and I surely recommend the rental.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the apartment for three nights and we could not have asked for more.
The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk to the nearest subway which made it very easy to get around Berlin.
The apartment was very welcoming and comfortable, especially after long walks around Berlin's many museums, landmarks and gardens. Despite the building being quite old, all the facilities were modern and very clean. The kitchen/dining area was perfect for a couple and we even decided to stay in and cook one night.
Susanne was the perfect host, answering our questions prior to arrival and warmly greeted us at the apartment. As we had never been to Berlin before, she provided us with a map of Berlin and kindly took the time to show us where we wanted to visit.
We will definitely be staying at this apartment again next time we visit Berlin!
This apartment is a treat! My son and daughter and I enjoyed four wonderful nights in this lovely apartment. I wanted a place that we could call home during our travels and be able to make breakfast and dinners and let my four year old feel as though she were home. We were able to relax after long days and felt as though we were locals. We loved the morning light from all the windows and the beds were very comfortable! Susanne is a wonderful host and has done a magnificent job making sure every detail is there for your stay. We are looking forward to going back someday for a longer stay.
Nice cozy apartment and very close to S-Bahn Bellevue station. One station from Berlin Hauptbahnof. Apartment has everything one would need. Everything is clean and tidy. Susanne and Alex are extremely friendly and helpful. Felix, their son, helped us shift the heavy luggage to the 4th floor. The only drawback is that there is no lift.
Overall, an awesome place to stay.
This comfortable, quiet flat is in a great location, a few minutes walk to the S-Bahn which is a few stops from Friedrichstrasse and Hakescher Markt. Berlin was cold and snowy when we were there and it was great to come back to the warm and cosy flat. It was adequately equipped and right by the Tiergarten. When we come back in warmer weather we can jump on the S-Bahn in the other direction to Potsdam and the Grunewald!
The apartment was very spacious, just the right size for two travelers. Everything was available to make cooking, showering, and staying in the room easy. It was a very short, nice walk to the s-bahn and u-bahn stations and the neighborhood was felt very safe. Also a short walk to the river which was beautiful. The family that owned the flat was also lovely and this rental is highly recommended by us from Canada!
Its central location in a very quiet game road near the Spree and on the edge of the Tiergarten is the ideal base for both a tourist exploring Berlin as well as a relaxing stay working.
Restaurants and shops are also within walking distance like a S- and U-Bahn station and a boat dock (100 to 450 m). Famous sights (Bellevue Palace, Victory Column, House of World Cultures, Brandenburg Gate, German Chancellery, Reichstag building) are comfortably reached on a walk along the Spree River Promenade.
The apartment is one of the few old building complexes that were not destroyed by the second world war in the Hansa quarter. By rebuilding the Hansaviertel then came under the International Building Exhibition 1957 in professional circles to world fame. Even today it is visited by architecture fans happy.
Despite the central location there is no parking problems and parking is free.
