South of Florence, the town is surrounded by gentle hills and cultivated fields. This quarter outside the town carries the proud name 'Poggio Imperiale' (Imperial Hill). In this exceptional location is set our smart little guesthouse: it is the former hay barn of a Renaissance villa. Here you enjoy plenty of privacy in leafy surroundings, a roof-top terrace, a panoramic pool, peace and quiet, but also proximity to the city - you could even walk into the center - a fine address in Florence! There is a bus stop approximately 500 m away. The hospitable family of the house provides bikes for free upon their guests' request for biking to the bus stop or conveniently exploring the city. The motorway is close by (1.5 km) and can be reached quickly without having to pass through the city centre. All necessary shops and several restaurants are only 1 km away.

    Additional bed for the 3rd and 4th person free of charge

    Bed, bath and kitchen linens, water, electricity, gas, air-conditioning, heating, house cleaning on Saturdays for rentals exceeding 1 week, final cleanig and pool cleaning service all included in the price.
  • Security deposit to be paid in euros on the premises:
    Security deposit: EUR 150.

    Additional beds to be paid when booking:
    If maximum capacity PAX is exceeded: EUR 150 per person per week.

    Children younger than 10 free of charge.
    Baby bed available: free of charge.
  • Reservations from Saturday to Saturday only.
    Pool size: 8 x 3 m (oval) / opening dates: May 13th - October 14th.

    Maid service (house cleaning) available on request: Euro 8 per hour.
    Dinners: upon special request on site the property owner can prepare dinners during your stay (except in August) - please request date, menu and price on site.
    Transport service on your arrival available: if you travel by air to Florence airport, the property owner can pick you up at the airport (except in August) - please send us your flight details at least two weeks prior to arrival.

In addition to the double bed there are two armchairs (sleeping sofas for 1 person each), a reserved parking space inside the property, an electronic entrance gate to the property, a public telephone in the villa, a ping-pong table. Former barn transformed into a guesthouse with a comfortable one-room flat. Outstanding location: next to a prominent Renaissance villa on a hilltop in an olive grove.

The Interior: The ambience is similar to a studio and carefully furnished in a minimalist style: you'll find everything you need, everything in good taste and of high quality. The design consists of clear lines, simple forms and solid materials: Heavy, antique roof beams, and the warm tones of the terracotta floor tiles and clay roof tiles convey a liveable atmosphere. A comfortable suite of armchairs, a long table made of oak right next to the kitchen area and some additional features such as air-conditioning, satellite-TV, coffee machine, and a microwave oven offer comfort - a smooth blend of the country house style of Tuscany, comfort and fine design.

The Exterior: Stairs run on the outside of the apartment and lead to the roof-top terrace. From here you enjoy a beautiful view and wooden garden furniture invites one to lie back and relax. It is only a few steps to the pool. A lawn surrounds the oval pool. From there, you have a fine view of fields, cypresses, pines and the Certosa - the famous, antique monastery of Florence in the background. Here you live in an olive grove, far away from the bustle of the city with its humming motorbikes and honking cars. While the quiet location is far from every disturbance, it is only 3 km to the city - a distance which you could also cover by foot.

Golf: The famous golf club UGOLINO is about 4 km from the house.
