Few minutes walk south will take you to the brand new Galleria Shopping Mall and north to the famous Bomas of Kenya for watching tribal dances and looking at model villages.

It is only a ten minute drive south to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust- world famous orphaned elephant sanctuary. Ten minutes drive west will take you to the Giraffe centre, passing Mamba Village - famous for its crocodile farm, restaurant and children's play area. Also found in the Karen suburb are Karen Blixen museum, Karen Golf and Country Club and excellent restaurants including the Talisman, Que Pasa, and Rusty Nail.
