Costa Blanca Area :
In Torrevieja there are many more great restaurants, especially the local Spanish seafood restaurants, but there are also English, German, Swedish, Chinese and more types of food found here. Torrevieja is an old fishing town, with its own harbour. The scenery is compelling with the beautiful Mediterranean on one side and thousands of acres of fruit groves inland.
There are five more cities within easy reach by car: Alicante and Benidorm (with theme parks of Terra Mítica, Mundomar) to the north, Elche ( with its large palm forest) to the north west, Murcia to the west and Cartegena with its historic Roman architecture to the south.
You might enjoy the open-air markets that are regularly held at numerous location nearby (Campo de Guardamar, Guardamar, Torrevieja) or you might choose for a high class shopping in Torrevieja Habaneras shopping centre or in Alicante El Corte Ingles department store.
Quesada:
Quesada is 5 kms away from the sandy beach of Guardamar. There are numerous other ' blue flag ' beaches in the Costa Blanca area: La Mata, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Los Locos, El Cura.
Ciudad Quesada boasts an abundance of restaurants, bars, shops and amenities including banks, chemists, dentists, a medical centre, town hall, and supermarkets.
There is a Water Park in the town open during June, July and August. The park offers a swimming pool, supervised water slides, a restaurant and a beautiful lawned area.
There is a municipal tennis court and a bowling facility where visitors are welcome.
La Marquesa Golf and Country Club is an 18 hole championship course. Golfers can enjoy the club house and its bar and restaurant are open to golfers and families alike.
Fly to Alicante (ALC) or Murcia (MJV) Airports. Villa Sara is located 35 minutes drive from both airports.
Car hire is easy and can be arranged in advance for airport collection through the internet.
