Guestbook comments from the owner
La casetta is a beautifully maintained home with modern amenities in the Tuscan countryside. it is surrounded by breathtaking views of rolling hills ( the pictures on the website do not do justice :)). It is a true paradise. It was a perfect way to combine relaxation with day trips to Pisa, Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa, wineries in Bogheri, Populonia, and many more. It was a perfect Italy trip for my husband's birthday with family and friends. Lastly, the owner, Federica was amazing. She was helpful and accommodating in every way. Her extensive knowledge of the area guided us to most amazing places including restaurants and wineries. We will definitely be back!!

I have a real passion for gardening and I enjoyed learning about interior design while refurbishing the house, in 2005. I then started renting it out and I liked establishing friendly relations with my guests, from all over the world. I can also say I'm in business as I worked for an agency that rents holiday villas in Italy for almost 3 years. Every year I do my best in order to renew the house and improve it. I love the region and my house particularly! I do all the best in order to help my guests enjoying their holiday at La Casetta as much as possible, giving all sort of tips for daily trips, good restaurants and other useful information.
Well, it belongs to my family, we decided to refurbish it completely and if at the beginning it seemed to be an Epic venture, it slowly became something concrete and amusing. I enjoyed choosing the plants for the garden and the furnishings and up to now, all our guests appreciated these efforts. You can see it is not just a house available for rentals, we care about it and we are happy when our guests feel the same.
The location is quiet and secluded and, at the same time, close to many interesting places. The views are relaxing, all guests feel it's not just a house for rent, it's my family's house.
The location is ideal to relax and its proximity to art cities as Pisa, Lucca and Florence, to the best Tuscan wineries (San Guido, Ornellaia, Terriccio just to mention some) and to the sea make it the strategic starting point for daily trips.
I am happy to provide a sort of 'concierge service' to my guests assisting them with suggestions and making reservations, I also enjoy cooking and can prepare Tuscan meals (this last, as an extra though).
My true passions are the garden and the proximity to a couple of spots where I can do some kitesurfing and SUP (Stand Up Paddling) as well as biking.
