The cottage enjoys a tranquil location between Sjohageløo
Orchards directly on Osafjord in Ulvik. In a small way
to get to old houses, down to the fjord to
the old trading Øydvinstod. A few hundred years old
Boathouses surrounded the house.
The house was rebuilt by ourselves in 2002. Originally
it has been used for 70 years as a barn.
The old pine wood gives the interior of the barn
Sjohageløo a very special atmosphere.
Going out of Sjohageløo, one arrives at a
Terrace surrounding the house almost completely.
In spring and autumn the sheep are called our
Guests welcome, the surrounding of the
Orchards grazing. From here you have a stunning
Views of the Osafjord and out of the water
towering cliffs and forests of Osafjells.
Sjohageløo is the ideal starting point for hikes
in Ulvik and environment. By car, mountains, only 120km.
We spent ages trying to find the perfect house for our trip to the fjords and this was worth the work. It's a beautiful little converted barn, all done to a high standard, with under floor heating and a log burner to keep it nice and cosy. The setting was magnificent, such an incredible area with waterfalls across the fjord from the house and orchards around it. We even saw dolphins while we were staying here. Pretty idilic really! Highly recommend.
