FOOD AND WINE LOVERS PARADISE:
Many restaurants in this area specialise in the food of the region, such as duck, cépe mushrooms, truffles, prunes, nuts and of course, Fois Gras together with a large selection of prestigious Bordeaux wines aswell as many from local vineyards such as Bergerac, Pécharmant and Monbazilliac.
It is recommended that during July and August, you make a reservation at your desired restaurant and we are only too happy to organise this for you.
The beauty of France is that Children are always made welcome at eating establishments and this makes a family holiday all the more enjoyable, without the worry of organising baby sitters, a true time for all the family.
THINGS TO DO AND SEE:
There are many activities in this part of the Dordogne, if it is an active holiday you are looking for then there are plenty of airparcs, walks, canoeing, tennis, swimming and much much more. If it is peace and tranquility you are after then again, there are numerous woodland tracks from outside your doorstep, reading, painting, picnics and again much much more. Museums, caves and other tourist attraction are in absolute abundance and I would challenge anyone to see them all during a two week break!!!!
Along with the aforementioned activities, there are the beautiful bastide towns and villages, Belvés with the trogladite caves and many many beautiful castles.
We can arrange Horse riding and golf within a few kilometers of here and there are the evening markets with all the traditional tastes and smells, you can dine on your freshly prepared food and local wine all in a wonderful atmosphere usually accompanied by local musicians. This is a definate don't miss experience.
THINGS TO KEEP THE CHILDREN QUIET:
Here at Bouillatou, we have found that a lot of guests don't have to venture far to entertain the family, all included in your holiday is the use of the tennis court, swimming pool, bicycles, table tennis, boules, cricket, croquet, trampoline, swing and slide climbing frame. However if you want to venture out then there is the opportunity to swim in the Dordogne River, Canoe, visit an airparc with zip slides, museums, caves and lots more. we have lots of books, dvds and board games too which can be used as and when our guests need them.
Golf:
We are extremely happy to introduce you to our local golf club, de Lolivarie. Here, you are able to use the driving range, 9 or 18 holes of golf and enjoy the bar area and a spot of lunch if desired. We can arrange this for you at an extra charge to your holiday. If you wish to take advantage of golfing then please advise us at the time of booking so we can make sure you get your tee off time.
