Sarlat Aquitaine Dordogne Périgord Noir Sarlat Gite in independent house

When we were planning our 4 month holiday in Europe during the winter months, we found it very difficult to find comfortable, clean accommodation that included heating. After an extensive search I found "Pech Pinet". For the 7 weeks we stayed in the house we were comfortable, warm, and made welcome by the wonderful owners Nicole and Raymond Pouget. The house has a rural setting and is only a few minutes drive to Sarlat's amenities and fabulous markets. Nicole and Raymond were charming, thoughful and helpful with local information. Our stay at Pech Pinet was perfect for the family. The children had a comfortable bedroom with their own television. The kitchen is well equipped and Nicole was always available if you needed anything. There was also plenty of crockery and utensils. The lounge was again extremely comfortable with a large selection of books and games. The whole house was very well heated and we felt at home from the moment we walked inside. There is wi-fi access throughout the house and televisions in the lounge and both bedrooms. The grounds are extensive with a great swimming pool and outdoor area for summer use. I would highly recommend this home for any time of year. Its proximity to Dome, Perigueux, Bergerac and the many caves and prehistoric sites makes it very convenient. It is perfect for a small family (2 children) but a third child could also use the spare bed in the main bedroom. This was a true find. After our stay I felt I was leaving my own holiday house but found comfort in the fact that Nicole and Raymond would be there to look after everything!
