Tomich Holidays is a family business providing a selection of twelve quality properties to suit your individual needs and makes an ideal holiday destination, with the indoor swimming pool, wi-fi hotspot, children’s play area, games room, drying room and bike store with bike hire.

Built above the conservation village of Tomich, in an exceptionally peaceful corner of the Scottish Highlands, Tomich Holidays is based at Guisachan Farm, which forms part of the historic Guisachan Estate, surrounded by native woodland. On the hills above lie several lochs, neighbouring the RSPB reserve at Corrimony. The natural beauty of the surrounding area is interwoven with woodland tracks to explore, hidden waterfalls, sparkling hill lochs, all amidst tranquillity where you can listen to the birds, revel in the abundant wildlife or stroll through the National Nature Reserve between the ancient Caledonian pine woods.

Plan your activities from Tomich, whether walking along the banks of Loch Ness, mountain biking for miles in any direction or touring the Western Isles. Tomich Holidays makes the perfect base for everything.

Guisachan is a working farm and depending upon the season you will see the never ending number of tasks that go into running a traditional Highland livestock farm. Pets are welcome.

We remain open throughout the year, so why not spend Christmas and New Year in one of our self-catering cottages or take a short break in the Highlands.

Our spacious stone-built courtyard cottages form part of the impressive Victorian farm steading with its magnificent Clock Tower. Some of the converted courtyard cottages offer panoramic views over rolling farmland, woodland and on towards Glen Affric and most offer en-suite power showers, providing everything you need for the perfect highland holiday.

Accommodation - The Courtyard Cottages are 2 bedroom stone and slate that have an entrance hall leading into the open plan living area. The open plan living and dining area is flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. The comfortable living space is also equipped with Freeview TV, DVD player, and a stove. The traditional oak fitted kitchens provide space to socialise whilst you cook and are fully equipped to include electric built-in oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, fridge and freezer, with laminate flooring. You can even pick your own herbs from the garden.

Upstairs you will find one ample double bedroom most with en-suite power shower, one twin bedroom (carpeted throughout) and a spacious bathroom with bath, shower over, WC and hand basin with shaver point. Both bedrooms have wardrobes, dressing tables, a chest of drawers, side tables and mirrors. Duvets and bed linen and complimentrary towels for 2 are provided. There is ample storage space for clothes. Cot, high chair, stairgate, additional towels and z-bed can all be supplied on request.

Features - Ample car parking is provided conveniently outside each of the cottages. A shared patio area has BBQ facilities and a picnic table for you to sit and enjoy the stunning surroundings. The swimming pool is just a few steps away and is open until 9pm every day (from April to October). Also available to all guests is the games room with table tennis, pool, table football and wi-fi hotspot. The large lawn is ideal for outdoor activities and has football goals, a play area and low level assault course allowing children the chance to burn-off energy and let-off steam. Other facilities include lockable bike store, bike hire, drying room, pay phone and tourist information point.

Cottage price includes: Leisure pass, bed linen for up to 4 and towels for 2, electricity, heating, hot water, Freeview TV, DVD player, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, toilet rolls and basic cleaning materials on arrival, washing powder and dishwasher tablets, tea towels, oven gloves, compost bags and bin bags.

Extra Guests 1 extra guest can be accommodated on a z-bed (under 16's only) by prior arrangement in the courtyard cottages. An additional charge of £35 per extra guest is made, which includes all bed linen.

Accommodation - The modern open plan interior with french doors leading onto a balcony, comprises leather seating, Freeview TV, DVD player, stove heating and carpet in the living area. There is wooden laminate flooring in the dining area and kitchen, with a dining table and chairs, plus a kitchen fully equipped with everything you need. To the rear of the lodge is a twin bedroom, directly opposite the bathroom, with a shower over the bath, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

Well the scenery is just out of this world and there are an abundance of traffic-free walking along forested lanes. Where else can you really visit these days with absolute peace and quiet? No rumbling roads in the background and nothing between Tomich and the West coast of Scotland some 30 miles away . What a great playground filled with rare orchids, dragonflies, golden eagles, roaring stags, badgers, red squirrels, balck grouse and starry, starry skies.

Hello We had a marvellous time and Michael already wants to return for more time in Tomich. Service - excellent Home - very comfortable, well equipped and very roomy. Location - if you want to be away from the madding crowd, but with many attractions nearby, or simply want to take time off, then this is the place to be. Best - convenient pool and leisure facilities and easy access to Glen affric and Plodda and many more attractions. Staff are very relaxed, helpful and friendly. All helped by the most excellent weather throughout our stay. (Have made multiple trips to Tomich since the early '80s) David Halstead

Stalkers cottage, lovely as always

The cottage as always was very comfortable, with all of the usual friendly and helpful people going about their business.
We have been holidaying at Tomich for many years now and we never tire of its absolute beauty.
It was found by chance many years ago but will never be forgotten, thanks for providing us with many wonderful holidays and hopefully many more. Keep up the good work in providing such a lovely place to holiday.

Have never been dissapointed with are stay's at Tomich in all the years we have been going there. The cottages are of a very high standard and are very comfortable. The area is quiet and relaxing and the staff and locals are very friendly. We will be returning again next year as usual.

Lovely accommodation in a great location

It was perfect for us. A great location to explore the wonderful Scottish countryside about us, and what a surprise the cottage was - it was immaculately clean (everything seemed like brand new) and was also extremely spacious. Also very good facilities with the play areas (internal and external) and swimming pool. However, bring you own towels, as these are not provided in the accomodation.

Serene location. Great accommodation

We arrived and were made very welcome by Christina who explained all we needed to know and assured us that she and other staff were always on hand with any queries. Great accommodation - as we were expecting it to be slightly shabby given that we had booked for our dogs to come too! We were delighted with the accommodation and the great walks and scenery - Glen affric is truly stunning! Excellent and spotless facilities too with the indoor pool, table tennis and pool table. We all enjoyed dining out at The Steading, The Slaters arms and Tomich Hotel. Also had a great time out on the Loch Ness Rib boat - what a way to see the many sights in and around the loch.

The walks around the area are superb for all abilities and our dogs had a ball! Particularly enjoyed Plodda Falls and Dog Falls walks.

We all had a lovely, peaceful break and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to friends/family.

  • BOOKING CONDITIONS
    Entry to your Tomich Holiday accommodation is at 4pm on arrival date. Departure is at 10am to allow us to clean the property prior to arrival of the next guests.

    Any damage to your holiday home should be reported to the farmhouse prior to departure and relevant settlement made.

    Fortnightly bookings are subject to a discount of £50 off the total holiday price.
    Bookings are for a holiday period only.

    A deposit of £100 per week is required on booking. This is not refundable. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Failure to forward this balance may lead to cancellation of your holiday, the deposit being forfeited.

    Credit and debit card payments are accepted at a 3% surcharge. Online banking, bank transfers, cheque payments also accepted.

    Prices include VAT at 20%.

    Tomich Holiday properties must be left in a clean and tidy state at the end of booking.
  • EXTRAS AVAILABLE
    Pets are permitted and a charge of £20 per animal is payable with final payment. No pets allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Please note that as this is a working farm with sheep and cattle, dogs must be kept under control at all times.

    Bike Hire from £16 per day or £70 for 5 days.

    A Baby Pack with cot, high chair and stair gate can be provided at £25 per week. Linen for cots is not available.

    Bed linen, up to the number each property accommodates, is included in the price of your holiday.

    For your convenience, we can normally arrange for basic groceries from the local shop or a Welcome Pack providing breakfast provisions for your first day at £30 (full Scottish) or £25 (basic breakfast)

    Complimentary towels for 2. Additional towels are available at £5 per person for a hand towel and bath sheet.
  • CANCELLATION
    When you book your holiday you are entering into a legally binding contract with Tomich Holidays. If for any reason you subsequently have to cancel, every effort will be made to re-let the property. If we are unable to re-let the accommodation, you may be liable to compensate us for the loss of revenue we have incurred. We strongly recommend that you take out Cancellation Insurance.
