The house belongs to the medieval town of Montecastelli Pisano, and is situated in the Pavone valley, not more than one hour's drive from Florence, Siena, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano, the Tyrrenian Sea.
Two very clean Rivers give opportunities to swim. In spring the hills are getting more and more green every day, with the white blossom of the big wild cherry trees, you can walk among wild primrose, or wild cyclamens, or anemones. There is a field full of yellow narcissus. Every part of the valley has its own flowers. In summer to walk along the River Pavone is something very very special. You can swim and stay all day there, making a barbecue near the water at night and singing around the fire, waiting for the rising moon. In June you can walk under the bright stars, surrounded by millions of fire-flies. In autumn the oak forests turn to orange brown and will keep their leaves until December.
