Villa Aurora is situated in a protected area, 10 minutes walk from the coast in a tranquil, secluded setting with cypresses fruit trees & vineyards in abundance. Built on the site of a 19th century villa, the house was completely rebuilt & refitted in 2006/7 and is surrounded by garden, with uninterrupted views from the terrace to the coast. The villa comprises 2 extremely comfortable and spacious maisonettes, each with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen & large living / dining room and private terrace area, with a shared sunny terrace at the front of the house. Guests can rent 1 or both maisonettes. Those taking just 1 can specify that the other side should not be rented so they retain complete privacy. From the villa it is a short walk to a choice of restaurants, bars, shops, wellness centre, tennis courts & a hotel whose pool can be used by guests of the villa. Strunjan is a quiet seaside village a few km from Slovenia's 2 best coastal towns - stunning Venetian Piran & charming Izola.

Strunjan is one of the nicest seaside villages on the Slovenian Adriatic. Within walking distance of the villa are a variety of restaurants (some specialising in seafood), bars, shops, sports facilities (tennis, volleyball) & a large health / wellness centre with a wide variety of treatments available. Strunjan Bay is 10 minutes walk offering a lovely view across to beautiful St George's cathedral in Piran and excellent swimming from a man made beach and on a natural beach in the next bay at the foot of the lovely Strunjan cliffs (20 minutes walk from the villa). The village is just a few kms from Piran, a beautiful, historic Venetian town on a peninsula jutting into the Adriatic & Izola, a small, bustling fishing village / resort town. Piran and Izola, which both offer plentiful opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, eating out and beaches. The larger resort of Portoroz is a few kms further. Daytrips to world-class caves, the Lippizaner stud, Ljubljana & Venice are easily possible.

  • For those booking a single maisonette wanting to guarantee that the other maisonette will not be rented at the same time (i.e. single maisonette occupancy of the whole villa) this is subject to a premium dependent on the season. Price: Mid: 150 euros extra; High: 200 euros extra; Peak: 250 euros extra.
    Price for both maisonettes: Mid: 1100 euros; High: 1450 euros; Peak: 1700 euros
    Use of local hotel facilities / swimming pool is charged additionally.
    25% of rental amount payable to make booking, 75% plus security deposit payable 2 months prior to stay.
    Security deposit of €250 required per house per booking. Prices do not include tourist tax of 1.01 Eur per day for adults and 0.5 Eur for children per day (children up to the age 7 years - no tourist tax payable). Tourist tax and security deposit payable on arrival.

Relaxing holiday near the coast

When you see the villa for the first time, your holiday starts right away... It is beautiful situated near the coast but with quiet surroundings and all the privacy you need.
The house is very well equipped with all the nessesary luxury you need to complete your holiday.
The property was very clean en modern (especially for Slovenian standards)
A little shop and resaturants are nearby and the food is good.
If you want, you don't have to leave the house: nature and quietness is all around you!
We really can recommend this villa to everyone who loves good weather, the coast but not the tourists that go along with it!
