History:
Le Pelioou is a newly restored stone barn. Constructed in granite and slate it has retained its original aspect. It has just been classified 3 epis by 'les Gites de France'.
It is 2 km from the village of Erce via a narrow winding road of which the final 1 km is unpaved but passable. Situated on a south facing promontory between forest and pasture land. Total peace is assured as there are no neighbours or noise other than the sounds of cow bells or mountain streams. We look forward to sharing our corner of paradise with you. Shopping:
At Erce village (about 2km from the house) there are a cafe-restaurant and a small grocery store with all basic food.
At Oust (8 Kms) there are all kind of small store including an excellent bakery. All stores are open everyday even on Sunday morning.
Big supermarkets are available at Saint Girons (20 Kms).
Many restaurants are available in the surrounding villages.

Ski:
Guzet Ski station can be seen from the gite. It is at 14 kms at an altitude of 1400 meters (Pelioou is at 1000 m.).
Season usually starts in December and finishes end of March.
