In a cul de sac, our home offers a quiet location overlooking a tropical valley, called 'Kuiaha Gulch'.
The beautiful view of the jungle and the associated valley amazed our guests again anew.
Haiku is a small town on Maui's north coast and takes place in the tropical region of Maui. Otherwise extended far, Haiku has a small town center with a shopping center. The next town Paia is located about 10 minutes (by car) on the seafront and offers many shops and restaurants.
Kahului is our largest city here on Maui with an airport, shopping centers, cinemas, restaurants and located about 25 minutes away.
For windsurf enthusiasts interested parties, we are 7 minutes drive to the next, the world famous windsurfing beach 'Ho'okipa' away and 20-25 minutes until after Sprekelsville and Kanaha.
Maui offers a diversity and recreational opportunities. The biggest attraction in the winter months are the Humbackwale staying from December to March between the islands and can be seen with the naked eye from the beach. Her singing can be heard from miles away while snorkeling and is a unique experience.
In the winter months, waves of 10-15 meters are measured here in Hawaii and it's an adventure to watch the surfers and windsurfers.
Our 'Haleakala National Park' is definitely worth a visit. The view from the 3,000 foot volcano Haleakala is impressive and can be discovered by foot or on horseback. Sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed up here every day by hundreds of enthusiastic travelers.
Long sandy beaches in the south and jungle hikes with magnificent waterfalls in the north raises on our island no boredom.
