Lovely house for quiet holiday
This house is a lovely place for a quiet vacation with family or friends. It's large, sunny and bright with neutral decor and comfortable, attractive furnishings.
Unlike many rentals it comes with plenty of towels, linens, dishes, cookware, etc. plus piles of books, toys, games, pool toys, bikes, sports equipment and more. Truly everything you could need is here!
Extra large lanai faces south and west and really does get the sun all day. Backs on to golf course and lake - very peaceful and great for viewing wildlife. As promised, sunset views are spectacular.
With baby barrier for pool, high chair, cot, child's table and chairs and even a toybox in one of the bedrooms, the house is ideal for those travelling with young children.
Rotonda development is VERY quiet and much larger than I anticipated. There are no shops etc. inside the development and it takes about 10 minutes by car to reach the main road and services. There is no close access to US 41 or I75 which could be inconvenient if you plan to do much shopping / sightseeing farther afield than Port Charlotte, which is only 20 minutes away. There is a lovely playground and community tennis courts in the development but not close enough to walk from the house.
Golf is a main attraction in the community with several different courses.
Stump Pass and Englewood beaches are about 10 minutes drive from the entrance to the development. Beautiful Gasparilla Island is a 30 minute drive, as is Manasota Beach.
If you don't mind driving a bit then Rotonda is great for a peaceful home base within a 90-minute drive to many major Florida attractions.
And if Rotonda is your choice I doubt you will find a nicer rental home than this.
