This idyllic villa is situated in the tranquil countryside of San Agustin, in the South West of the Island. You will find the villa at the end of a 200m driveway in 6,000m2 of its own grounds surrounded by Fig and Almond groves. It has a very secluded and peaceful feel, yet only 10 minutes away by foot you will find shops, bars, restaurants and the nearest beach. For those wishing to explore the island you will find many of the finest beaches and popular restaurants within a short driving distance from the villa.

A really lovely property... relaxing, surrounded by fields so very private, spacious living area inside, and great terrace outside for eating. The whole house is tastefully furnished, and has everything you need for eating in etc. Great pool and lovely chill out area at the end. And fantastic sunsets from the roof. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
The only problem is due to the remote location, and trying to show the taxi-drivers where to go in the dark!

Nice villa but a little remote

The villa is everything the descrption says and the arrival BBQ was most welcome. Whilst fans are provided the villa would benefit from air conditioning as the evenings were uncomfortably warm during out visit in early August. Also beware when lighting the oven, we came back with a few less hairs on our arms and hands!!

The villa is remote and not really within walking distance of anywhere, especially if you are travelling with children, so a car is essential.

Strugled to find good restaurants within a short driving distance of the villa therefore the BBQ area came in very handy.

Payment of the rental fee and deposit could be made much easier.
Owner's Response: We are glad that you found the villa to be everything the description says. The evenings in August are generally warm and that's why it is such a popular destination, but we do not believe that air conditioning is necessary and have put a lot of effort into making the house secure so that you can sleep safely day or night with doors and windows open. The house has thick walls which work to keep it cool in summer, but for those still evenings the electric fans are a blessing.

The house is situated in the countryside and has the advantage of having no neighbours, but if you don't mind walking for 15 minutes (probably 20 on the way back if you’ve frequented any of the bars!) you can reach civilisation, bars and shops.

There are plenty of decent restaurants within a 10 min drive both on the cost and inland, with the hamlets of San Agustin and San Joseph just up the road. We do leave info on tried and tasted restaurants in the villa, but I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time!

We are changing the security deposit procedure for next year to make it easier for our clients and us.

We are pleased that you managed to enjoy yourselves anyway.

Excellent time at Can Higuera

The villa was as expected, the outdoor area is very pleasant and the owners were very helpful. I recommend this property for families with yound kids, as the owner has all the necessary equipement onsite.
The surrounding area is very calm, although not on the nicest part of the island.
All in all, we had a great time.

We had a really wonderful time at the this beautiful villa, it was better than we could have dreamed of ! The complementary barbeque on the first day was the best meal we had all holiday! The swimming pool is lovely, much bigger than we anticipated and was the main entertainment for the kids.

This villa very child friendly and well kept with everything you could need. The wirless internet was useful for keeping in touch as was the UK TV and Sky package.

There are some amazing beaches in the area and we caught some beautiful sunsets. We left with some very special memories.

Can Higuera is a stunning villa in a beautiful and very tranquil setting. The villa is well maintained and we were made to feel completely welcome by the owners who also did a lovely barbeque for us (free of charge!) during our stay. The pool is fantastic and the garden beautiful - there are lots of different areas to sit outside and a great lounge area on the roof where you can watch the sun go down or just get a bit of piece and quiet. You most definitely need to hire cars if you are going to stay here - it is quite remote and initially we found it quite hard to find! There is a supermarket a 5 minute drive away that does all the essentials.
