Situated on the edge of North Walsham which is a small market town central to the many attractions of North Norfolk, 5 miles from the coastal resort of Mundesley and also The Broads. A bit further is Cromer, Sheringham, etc. with safe sandy beaches or small resorts such as Blakeney with their fishing boats. Boats can be hired out for trips on the Broads at nearby Wroxham and several other places. North Norfolk is quoted as having more visitor attractions per mile than any other county, from seasides and theme parks to walks and boat trips. If you enjoy shopping, Norwich is just 15 miles away with its Cathedral, street market and shopping malls. North Norfolk is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Excellent area for adults and children, far to much to list, suggest looking at the area on the internet. Several seaside resorts from just 5 miles away, Wroxham the capital of The Broads is only 9 miles away. Woods only 1 mile away. Town centre which has a market day and shops and cafes is only 10 mins walk. 6 pubs in the town which also serve food , the best is only 5 mins walk. Sainsburys and takeaways are in the town. There is also a leisure centre and swimming pool in the town. The town is very central for visiting everywhere in North Norfolk.

  • There is a 10% discount for only two people plus a 10% discount if you have been a guest before.
    Saturday changeover, arrive after 2pm and leave by 10 am.
    Bed linen and towels provided.
    Tea / coffee / milk / newspaper will be at the property for your arrival. Dozens of leaflets are in the property for places of interest to visit.

    There is a cot and highchair for small children.

Kitchen : Recently refitted with ceramic hob and oven, fridge, freezer and microwave oven. Table and chairs. Bathroom : Fully tiled with electric shower over bath. Seperate toilet. Lounge : 3 piece suite, dining table and 6 chairs, 26 inch LCD TV, DVD player, CD player, electric fire, books and games etc. Bedrooms : 1 with double bed, 1 with two single beds, 1 with one single bed. All with new mattresses, linen and wardrobes. There is a cot and a highchair for small children.

We had a great holiday. The accomodation at The Rye is a very high standard. Really enjoyed the garden and watching the birds feed and bathe. We had fun on the beaches which were lovely, and a plus was watching the seals on the beach and in the sea.
Hope to return again, there is so much to see and do.
East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden was fabulous.
Blickling Hall was a lovely place to visit.
