The apartment is situated on the first floor level of an old Florentine building and consists of a large living area with a view of the pedestrianised street. There are atmospheric old Tuscan chestnut beams to the ceiling and these give a wonderfully 'different' feel to the place. A wide central hallway leads off this room with a very big 'walk-in' wardrobe / store room off. Within this is ample hanging, drawer and shelf space and further benefit is that it gives a private dressing area for those who are sleeping on the sofa bed.
Beyond this central hallway is the double bedroom with TV, comfortable double bed, side tables, ample lighting etc. Again off the hallway is the bathroom with bath tub, over bath shower with enclosure, washbasin, WC and bidet. There is ample lighting and ventilation. The kitchen has space for a dining table, full range of kitchen units, 4 burner electric hob, full size oven, fridge with freezer section and sink with one and a half bowls.
There is convenient dining space. Additionally, we have made sure that you have sufficient crockery, cutlery and utensils to prepare the exciting Tuscan meals form ingredients you have bought in the local markets.
Outside, the main door to the building gives way to a quiet and mostly pedestrianised street and in literally a few paces you are in Piazza Signoria, a large open space, the heart of the city with the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio right there. Additionally, you find the chic restaurants, bars and shops. There are many local food shops selling authentic ingredients but interestingly, within a few minutes walk you can reach a couple of large market areas where you can 'shop where the locals shop' (and pay the local price).
