A great holiday bungalow with an enviable location near the lifeboat station in Bembridge. One of a handful of properties with gardens that run down to the seashore, along with ample parking at the front of the house for four cars or more.
There is a fine view across the Solent to Chichester and to Portsmouth, and ample garden space for eating out of doors and where children can play when the tide comes in to cover the beach. There is a thatched hut in which to change for bathing and a large brick built barbecue in the garden. Steps lead down the garden slope to a private gate giving access to the sea wall and beach. The sea bathing is excellent and safe and Bembridge is famous for sailing.
There is a large supermarket (including video store and off licence) a quarter of a mile from the house and shops in Bembridge village are only one mile away including an excellent butcher, greengrocer and baker.
The ‘local watering hole’ is the popular Crab and Lobster which serves excellent real ale with a fine restaurant specialising as its name implies in fresh English seafood. The pub is only a short walk round the headland on the beach or via the back roads.
