If you are looking for the ultimate mountain vacation spot, take a moment and explore your options, starting with this Stillwater Condominium. From here the Rocky Mountains open up your imagination, in both winter and summer.

Stillwater1028 is a perfect location for those families looking to have easy access to the base of Lone Peak. For those people who are visiting Big Sky for a convention and are looking for a condo that is conveniently located in relationship to the Shoshone (Yellowstone Convention Center), look no futher. Stillwater1028 is just across the road or less than a minute walk from the Shoshone. After a long day of winter activities you can relax in this spacious, one bedroom plus loft condominium. Located in the mountain village of Big Sky, this unit boasts spectacular views of Andesite Mountain, Spanish Peak, and a babbling brook just outside the back-door.

The master suite has a king-size bed with full four-piece bath. The spiral staircase will lead you to a loft bedroom with two double beds, and a full bathroom with shower. The unit comfortably sleeps six to seven adults with an comfortable large sofa in the living room.

The kitchen is fully functional with everyday utensils. A wood-burning fireplace and unlimited wood makes this condominium a cozy retreat for your perfect vacation.

About The Owner

We are a Minnesota family that enjoys the outdoors. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, while my wife grew up just outside of Toronto. We met in Dallas in 1988. We have two children. Our daughter attends college in Omaha and our son attends high school in Minnesota. Our dog...well one might say he is the one who is most in need of some form of education.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2005
Why The Owner chose Big Sky

Skiing has been a part of our family's life for many years. We skied a variety of destination in the Rockies. In 2004 we took our first ski trip to Big Sky. Six months later bought Stillwater1028. Big Sky is a special place. We have grown as a family, developed and found new friendships with every trip to Stillwater1028.

A bonus with Stillwater1028 are the people we have met through our rentals. We have developed friends that live as close as 1/2 hour of our home in MN as well as far away as Germany. We have been blessed!

What makes this condo unique

When we were looking for a condo, I asked that we find a place where we will have views that will constantly remind us that we are in the most beautiful place in North America. When you drive 14 hours from the flat lands of the Midwest, seeing the mountains every waking hour was important. We may not have a view of Lone Peak, but Andesite and Wilson Peaks are impossible to avoid while staying in this condo. It became our heaven on earth.

The unit was good for what we needed. Close to slopes...

Couple things:
Drapes in main bedroom need to be darker to reduce illumination of main lights from outside.
Temp was hard to regulate in the unit (either too hot or too cold)
Need some small frying pans.

Overall a good experience.

Place was clean and located a few minutes from the base. Can't go wrong with this one. Those who haven't experienced big sky it's a definite must! Hope to make it back next year.

The owner was awesome in answering all our questions, very helpful and accomodating. The condo was easy access (short walk) to our convention and skiing. The only negative thing I can say, is that with 6 women, the "quarters" were a little close. Everythng worked, the place was neat, clean and cute....except where was the beer?

If you are looking for Quality Runs without the Hustle & Bustle of Ski Lift Line Ups, you'll love Big Sky.
Plus being able to walk from your spacious 1bdrm plus Loft Condo to the ski hill within 4mins was a bonus feature. The condo was clean and functional with the 2 fully equipped bathrooms. The South-Easterly view from the balcony was so serene.

Skiing Big Sky.......is cheaper than therapy!

Great condo very close to slopes

Stillwater condos are indeed very close to the slopes - our first time staying in this complex. There are four small buildings in a line at Stillwater, and this unit is in the building second closest to the slopes. We had stayed at other properties in Big Sky/Moonlight previously up on the mountain that were much more expensive, and I would come back to this unit again on future trips. You can tell they were built in the 70's/80's so they have a little vintage charm to them, but for our needs it was just fine. Owner was so accomodating with our late flight - very friendly to work with. We were a party of 4 - two couples - and it was very comfortable for us. We stored our skis at slopeside storage (Stor a Ski) which made apres ski very easy.
