Walnut Tree Cottage was built in the mid 1700s and stands in it's own three quarter acrea garden. The cottage has recently been carefully restored to incorporate modern standards but at the same time retaining all of the original old world charm you would expect to find in a property of this age. The cottage is situated in Copys Green, surrounded by unspoilt rolling countryside & is 2 miles from Wells next to the sea and 3 miles from Holkham Bay which boasts some of the most spectacular pine dunes & sandy beaches in the United Kingdom easily rivaling those in Brittany. Close to several famous nature reserves. Wighton has it's own pub, walkable in 5 minutes with a reputation for excellent food & real ales. There is also a small shop and tea room. Everything is included in the price: heating, power, independant SKY TV in both sitting rooms, internet connection, fire wood, bed linen, fully equipped kitchen, games room with pool & tennis table, bbq and safe storage for cycles.

Very popular with cyclists. The national cycle route runs through the village. Long, sandy beaches and pine dunes, bird watching visits to Sandringham House, Houghton Hall and Holkham Hall. Wild Life parks. Wonderful walks, wild life parks, leisure pool with wave machine, about 20 minutes drive. Sherringham antique shops, toddlers play ground. Fish and chips on the harbour wall in Wells is essential.

The cottage is made up as follows: downstairs: Entrance porch, fully equipped kitchen, comfortably seats 10 people .Electric cooker for summer cooking and an aga for winter cooking (if you can deal with it). Large winter sitting room with log burner, SKY TV, games room with pool table and darts. Morning sitting room: open fire, SKY TV, HIFI, DVD. Office with Broad Band. Laundry room with WC. Large garden room. Upstairs sleeps 10. Three double bedrooms, one bunk room, one single room. Two bathrooms: one with a large power shower, one with a large deep bath and shower. Airing cupboard. The house is fully centrally heated and, where allowed, double glazed. Outside there is garden furniture on the patios. The fish pool is covered to prevent anyone falling in. There is a hammock by the garden room and a sunset look out with a swing seat. There is a cart barn for two cars and a full size table tennis table and a secure area for cycles, plus further parking for 4 more cars.

Although the cottage is on the large size it offers a warm and happy atmosphere. You will find everything ready when you arrive. All you need to do enjoy your stay in this beautiful cottage.
