The self-catering cottage provides space and comfort, and has fabulous view of Dingle Bay and the Blasket Islands, peat fires, books galore. It has its own semi-private cove, with magical rrock pools, at the bottom of the field in front of the cottage. Sleeps 6-8. Sorry, no pets. One mile from Rossbeigh Strand, a blue flag beach, two miles from Glenbeigh village and the Ring of Kerry.

Local activities include pony treking, fishing and golf at Dooks 18-hole course overlooked by the spectacular McGillicuddy Reeks. There’s live music in nearby village pubs, and several good restaurants. The Lakes of Killarney, Valentia Island, Derrynane, the Black Valley, Dingle (with an aquarium) and the Skelligs provide great day trips. Local climbs range from gentle Windy Gap behind Glenbeigh village to challenging Carrauntuohill for more experienced climbers. The ancient Puck Fair takes place annually from 10th - 12th August in Killorglin, 9 miles away. Information and maps are supplied in the cottage. Killorglin, 30 minutes away, has some excellent restaurants and good supermarkets. There are Ring Forts and other interesting archaeological remains within easy driving distance. On wet days there's plenty to do and see in Killarney at Muckross House and Ross Castle.

The house is in a spectacular location, in a field at the end of a cul de sac. It's very much a family house - spacious yet intimate and comfortable. There's plenty to do around the cottage, lovely walks up the side of the nearest mountain and Rossbeigh Strand less than a mile away. Life revolves around the kitchen/diner with its welcoming fireplace flanked by two sofas. The large central table - from where you may see the most amazing sunsets - seats a dozen people! The second smaller sitting room, with TV/DVD, allows adults – or kids – to have their own space in the house. The front door leads directly into the kitchen, so unloading shopping is easy and you can do all your shopping in the supermarket in Glenbeigh if you want to avoid longer drives. A vast collection of books ranges from classics to thrillers.
