The Lookout - lovely villa
We had a lovely 10 night stay at the villa. It is fitted out with everything that you could possibly require (a lot of thought has gone into it) and to a very high standard e.g. John Lewis fluffy white towels. Alex the owner answered the many questions I had before we went promptly and with lots of information - he couldn't do enough for us! It is in a quiet development, and while villas were still being constructed, we didnt really here much noise.
You need to hire a car if you are staying here but don't use Greens as our car, and another reviewer, both ended up with heaps of junk. It was filthy inside, had 83K on the clock and if you were out for about 30mins or you had to rev the engine at all, then an engine warning light came on!
It is a 10min drive to the main road and then about another 10mins to the first area of restaurants. We would definitely recomment Aphrodite (it is a very unusual experience but the nicest food), Silver Rocks, and then on the way to Girne, The Ambience.
This isn't really a place to go to if you are looking for nice long sandy beaches, but we were content to lie by the pool.
Make sure you go to Nicosia, remembering to take your passport so you can see the huge difference between north and south Nicosia. Follow the blue lines on the street to see the main sights of the city.
While Northern Cyprus wasn't as uncommericalised as we had hoped, the villa was fantasitc and we are already thinking about going back in the future.
