This newly remodeled Surf and Racquet Condo is on the desirable south end of Amelia Island in Summer Beach Resort in between the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the Amelia Island Plantation. The setting is in a lush, coastal, hammock forest with sand dunes directly on the ocean. The developers left much of the tree canopy intact to give a wonderful feeling of privacy and serenity. The condominium property is gated, giving added security. Beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean are visible from every room of this 2nd floor condo.

This Condo also overlooks 1 of the 2 pools and the pristine sea-oat covered dunes and white sandy beaches, much the same as it was when the first Europeans discovered it. With this unit, the renters will also receive a 20% discount on Windward Sailing sailboat charters for a romantic sailing get-away from Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach. See beautiful Amelia and Cumberland islands from the water. There are also several world class golf courses nearby.

Wonderful Views

We had a wonderful post Labor Day stay. Not crowded, quiet and peaceful. The condo was well appointed. The washer and dryer were a definite plus. The view of the beach was excellent and close enough to really hear the surf. Easy access to the unit. The condo was clean and well maintained. It's within 10-15 minutes of everything on the island. All the extras (bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas) were great. We loved the sunrise view from our bedroom. We would definitely do it again and would recommend it to friends.

Restaurants we tried -
Sandy Bottoms - very good
Cedar River - chain atmosphere, but excellent seafood
Marina - standard
Crap Trap - poor service, under staffed. So-so seafood.

Good seafood available (cook your own) at Atlantic Seafood at the marina. Fort Clinch State Park was well worth the trip.

We had a wonderful stay in this unit. It is very clean, nicely decorated, has updated kitchen and comfy furniture. Very nice condo complex. Quiet and not overly crowded. We preferred this part of the island because it was away from the congestion of Fernandina and there was beautiful scenery. Tony was very nice and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again. The only downside was that the bikes included in the rental didn't appear to be very safe so we didn't use them. Otherwise FABULOUS vacation!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Glad you guys had a great time. As you could see by the guest book at the condo, we have lots of great comments from guests staying here. We update the condo regularly,as my wife is "anointed" for shopping! HA! Believe it or not, the bikes are only 1 1/2 years old! The salt air reeks havoc on metal here. I did a test drive on them after the review and they worked fine, even though they may look rusty. Thanks again for your comments and hope to see you again!
