Casina Gialla is a beautiful 19th century manor house and estate, recently renovated to a very high standard. The renovations have been carried out with great consideration to conserve the charm of Puglia’s old houses whilst also providing a touch of high-end luxury.
The grounds of the estate contain three self catering holiday apartments: Mimosa (sleeps 3), Bao Bab (sleeps 5) and Melograni (sleeps 5).
An endless patchwork of olive groves, vineyards and orchards surround Casina Gialla and its three luxury self catering holiday homes. The holiday homes themselves are nestled within acres of mature gardens, secular palm trees, Mediterranean ferns and colourful flower beds.
Framed by exquisitely scented orange trees, the swimming pool is the perfect place in which to relax after a morning spent exploring the magnificent baroque city of Lecce and the legendary beaches of Salento, all of which are situated within easy driving distance.
The large grounds are ideal for families and a wooden play house is the perfect retreat for younger guests.
There is also a resident English speaking management representative onsite to make sure that your stay is as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible.
Bao Bab (sleeps 5)
Bao Bab is the perfect holiday home for guests looking to enjoy a traditional Italian building whilst maintaining modern luxuries. High stellar vaulted ceilings, exposed stone, white-washed walls and split level mezzanine salon all give Bao Bab a real ‘wow’ factor.
Traditional style mixes seamlessly with modern comfort in the form of Jacuzzi corner bath, modern shower room and fitted kitchen. The rooms are large and airy, light fabrics are used throughout and the exposed stellar vaulted ceiling helps to keep Bao Bab cool and fresh in the hot summer months.
A private patio area with shaded tables and chairs allows guests to enjoy alfresco dining under the warm morning sun and the cool evening stars.
The rooms of Bao Bab consist of downstairs double bedroom, shower room with toilet, kitchen, laundry room, dining room/living room, upstairs mezzanine level salon/bedroom, bathroom with Jacuzzi corner bath.

Melograni (sleeps 5)
Melograni is an ultra-elegant holiday home that combines traditional features such as tiled flooring, thick stone walls and high ceilings with a stylish modern feel. Elegant touches such as wooden window shutters and exposed iron latchings give this spacious and airy holiday home a real feel of something special.
White walls, light fabrics and an entire wall of windows keep the interior bright and cool. Double doors open onto a private shaded patio area with dining table and chairs for six.
The interior room arrangement is all on one level and consists of living room/dining room, kitchen, bathroom with overhead shower, hallway, twin bedroom and large double bedroom.

This delightful holiday home provides a wonderful romantic retreat. The ultra-high, exposed stone stellar vaulted ceiling is sensational.
High glass windows and white-washed walls fill the home with space and light. Pale exposed stone flooring is used throughout, complimenting the modern fixtures and fittings. Double doors lead from the living room onto a private patio area with garden table and chairs.
The internal layout is over one level with a few small steps to the bedroom and shower room. The rooms consist of one large living/dining room, one double bedroom, shower room, kitchenette with 2-ring gas hob, oven, fridge freezer and washing machine.

The Nearest Beaches
The Adriatic and the Ionian seas are each a twenty minute drive away. From Otranto to the Laghi Alimini and as far as Santa Maria di Leuca, the Adriatic coast is a succession of little bays, soaring cliffs and sun drenched beaches. On the Ionian coast, the gorgeous white sandy beaches of Gallipoli and Porto Cesareo will keep holidaymakers of all ages happy for hours.
The Nearest Village (1km)
San Pietro in Lama is a delightful, sleepy little Italian village just 1km away. Visit the traditional bakery, buy fresh fruit and vegetables, relax in the village cafes and eat in the wonderful Don Carlo restaurant. Guests can drive into the village in minutes, or cycle along the picturesque country roads (approximately 20 minutes by bicycle to the village).
The City of Lecce, ‘The Florence of the South’ (6km)
The beautiful baroque city of Lecce is only a ten minute drive away. Old roman ruins, the famous “pietra leccese” stone and the amazing architecture have earned Lecce the nickname ‘The Florence of the South’. As well as being amazed by the beautiful buildings and the incredible walled Historic Centre, Lecce offers tourists the best in Salento shopping, food and entertainment.
