Golfview, is situated in the small fishing hamlet of Felixstowe Ferry, area of outstanding natural beauty on the heritage Suffolk coast. The property over looks Felixstowe ferry golf course and is a few feet away from the beach. It is ideal for golf, fishing, sailing, walking, art, bird watching, etc. Here you will find a collection of cottages and old fisherman’s huts, a Martello tower, 2 pubs which date back to 1042 and which serve a variety of ales and excellent food, 2 fresh fish stalls selling locally caught fish of the day. A golf course, a sailing club, a café and down on the jetty there is a small passenger foot ferry which runs daily during the summer months across the river Deben to Bawdsey known for its RAF radar stations and Bawdsey manor. Golf View is close to Woodbridge, Colchester, Ipswich, Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick, and appox 1.1/2 hours drive from London (70miles)

The main town of Felixstowe is approx 2 miles away where you can find several restaurants, shops, Leisure Centre and enjoy a walk along the promenade. It is close to Woodbridge 15 miles, Aldeburgh 32 miles, Ipswich 10 miles, Colchester 30 miles (oldest recorded town) also Sutton Hoo (burial ground of the Saxon king) The cottage is well placed for touring Suffolk including the picturesque towns of Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Dunwich, Walberswick, Orford and Harwich. Only half an hours drive from Snape, famous for its all year round concerts. Further inland are Framlingham, a quaint old town with a cobbled market square, tea shops, good eating houses and a castle. For the children, a day out and a picnic at Easton Farm Park, is a must. Set in a lovely original farm setting with antique machinery, farm animals, arts and crafts, childrens play area, a restaurant and a picnic area set alongside a river.

Slightly further afield are the famous small towns of Long Melford, a haven for antique hunters, and famous for Kentwell and Long Melford Halls. The medieval old wood town of Lavenham is also worth a visit as is Constable Country and the Dedham Vale. The property itself is a small but cosy bungalow, tastefully furnished and well maintatined. Facilities; 2 double bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, bathroom with a shower, parking for 2 cars. Oil fired central heating plus a cosy wood-burning stove, Lounge: has TV, CD Hi-Fi, DVD, sofa, table & chairs Newly fitted kitchen with microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. Bedrooms: I double bed and 2 single beds. Bed linen and towels provided, Well behaved pets welcomed. No smoking inside please

Very cosy cottage

We had a lovely time at golf view we couldn't fault it ,the cottage was clean, nice bottle of wine and cake left for us,
We took our collie dog with us and went for long walks along the beach which is right on the door step. Friends stayed Sat night,the kitchen is well equipedand i cooked a three course meal,The cottage is small but the four of us managed very well,we are going to bring our parent with us next year to show them what a lovely place felixstone ferry is and stay in the lovely little cottage,our dad is already looking forward to visiting the two pubs,and trying some of the local caught fish ,A big thank you to Mandy for making this cottage feel so homely

A lovely well maintained,well equipped cottage.

The cottage has a full kitchen for those who want to cater for themselves, but the Ferryboat Inn and the Victoria hotel both serve great food for those who want to really get away from the home chores. There is also a small cafe which serves very nice food during the day.

One double and one twin bedroom with wardrobes and storage in both rooms.

If you are a golfer you are well served with a golf course across the road.

A wide range of books, DVDs & CDs means that there is something for everyone.
The brochures in the basket cover a wide range of things to see and do - you should never be bored

A personal welcome by the owner and a welcome basket adds a very nice touch.

We have recommended this cottage to friends and family both in England and Australia, we are sure nobody would be disappointed.
