Two Double Bedroom garden apartment in Malahide. Tastefully decorated with the master bedroom en suite. The apartment is centrally located in the village of Malahide. Malahide is a picturesque village with an abundance of cafes, bistros, Michelin star restaurant, and boutiques. Within walking distance to beaches, parks. Public transport into Dublin, via train or bus leave on regular intervals (15 minutes) all within walking distance to the apartment.
The village of Malahide is pictureesque and vibrant with an abundant of restaurants and bars. Local activities such as water sports, golfing, fishing and the marina are all within walking distance of the apartment. The city of Dublin is only 30min by DART.
We knew from the photos on the website that this apartment was pretty special but when we entered it last Monday we delighted with how light, bright and spacious it was. All the windows (bedrooms included) have views either over the marina, the sea or the village green. The apartment is really tastefully decorated and does not feel like a rental at all - we felt at home immediately. Starbucks and the local delicatessen/shop are only a one minute walk away. It was a pure joy to go out in the early sunshine for a stroll and get the newspaper and fresh croissants/bread from the shop. The Starbucks had wifi which was useful although it was good to get away from the computer for a while! Malahide Castle nearby was great for lunch - the gardens and Avoca shop provided plenty of retail therapy. Malahide village itself is charming with restaurants everywhere. Our first night we ate in e Grand Hotel and on our last night at the local Greek restaurant. A friend told us that people come from all over Dublin simply for the restaurants. However the kitchen facilities in the apartment are adequate for home cooking - only missing a frying pan! Downsides? The main bathroom just needs a little work and some paintwork needs touched up but this is only nit-picking. We will definitely be back if it's not booked out after this review! My sister, myself along with two other friends stayed in the apt in Malahide Marina Ireland for three nights.
The owner met us when we arrived and explained the heating system and gave us a tour of the apartment.
It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
It is a lovely location and the sun shone while we were there although it was very cold.
I would recommend this apartment to friends and familys and its close to shops, railway station, cafe's and restaurants.
If we decide to make a return journey to Malahide I would stay here again.
Being from Dublin and having lived away for half of my life, this was the perfect holiday spot. I specifically wanted to stay in Malahide as it has everything, but this garden flat gave me and my family all that we wished for. Proximity to sea and village provides everything you could wish for. Dart station is a 10 min walk and will take you into town. Close to airport and coastal walk, that's just fabulous. I would stay here again without question and was fortunate enough to meet the owner who is a lovely lady. Big thumbs up for this coming from a true Dub!
