The friendly village pub is just 50 yards from the door and serves good food and real ale. There are several other, excellent pubs/restaurants in the near vicinity.
The village store and post office is similarly close by and provides a good selection of foodstuffs and essential supplies. The beautiful, unspoilt wilderness of Dartmoor is less than 2 miles away and is the ideal open space to enjoy walking, bird-watching, horse-riding,cycling or simply relaxing beside a moorland stream. There are several good fishing spots in the immediate area. Bridestowe is about 45 mins drive from the nearest beaches on the north coasts of Devon and Cornwall. The coastal path is particularly spectacular in this area.
