It also comprises a dining hall with a glass atrium roof and a spacious lounge with fireplace. The master double bedroom & the second twin bedroom each have en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower. The third and fourth bedrooms contain twin beds, with the large fourth bedroom also having a seating area which means this could be used as a separate family room, adding additional beds if required. Sanlucar is 50kms north of Cadiz, the oldest city in Europe. Aqualand, a large waterpark great for children, is 30kms away and Isla Magica, one of Andulucia's best theme parks is in Seville. You can catch the ferry from Playa Bajo de Guia over the river to the Parque Nacional de Doñana, the largest bird and wildlife sanctuary in Europe, where horse riding and Land Rover trips are available.

The heart of the old town is Plaza del Cabildo which is a delightful palm-fringed square lined with bars and restaurants. Just north is Plaza de San Roque where the daily market is held. Sanlúcar is also famous for its horse racing which dates back to 1845 and takes place along a 2,000m stretch of beach daily from 6pm, on the 2nd and 4th weekends during the month of August. This is a thrilling spectacle watched by large crowds where racehorses thunder across the sand. Another important festival for the town is the Feria de la Manzanilla in early June leading up to the Noches de Bajo de Guía flamenco season, classical and jazz festivals, and the occasional concert. Recommended restaurants include Casa Bigote, located on the waterfront at Bajo de Guía and well known for its succulent prawns and delicious paella. You can walk along the beautiful sandy beach to the fishing village of Bonanza or peruse interesting shops along the narrow streets of Sanlucar.

The fish and fruit market is a must, then a coffee in the old Palace.
