About Kalli

This is a photo of my my husband and I enjoying a great dine and spectacular view at Mar Y Sol in Playa Flamingo, something we look forward to every visit. We are natives of southern California and our primary residence is in Encinitas, just north of San Diego. We have a 12 year old son who loves the beach, ocean and water as much as we do. We are fortunate to spend 4-6 weeks a year at our home in CR with an extended stay in June-July, and again for Thanksgiving late Nov/Dec each year. Spending time in our home every 4-6 months brings us not only great enjoyment, but allows us the opportunity to keep a close eye on everything making sure it is in great shape and ready to welcome and receive our guests. and My husband is a New Thought minister and I am a interior stylist specializing in vacation rental homes. I also manage our 4 vacation homes and host/coordinate a women's yoga retreat each year in CR which offers me an opportunity to share our paradise with others.

We really feel like we found our shangrila! The Pacifc North west area of the Guanacaste provence is one of the most desirable locations in all of Costa Rica. Beach front property with an awesome view; Secluded enough yet conveniently located to Liberia airport (one hour drive) and other popular and scenic areas such as Flamingo, Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Coco and Hermosa are all with in 10-30 minute drive.We also love the beauty of Potrero Bay as seen from ourliving room window and front deck

What makes this condo unique

The location, lush grounds and the view.....Sunsets from our place are totally amazing! Having the ocean and garden both in front of us and the jungle out the bedroom window is very cool to wake up to. Our condo complex is a small, gated, safe, quiet and very well maintained. We only have 12 units with one adjoining wall and a wrap around balcony. I am a designer so I have enjoyed tastefully furnishing our home Mediterranean tropical style.

I already wrote a comment in your little booklet in the condo. It covers the essential for us, who do not represent, I think, your average guests.

In sum, we would have been better off in the rainy season. (My husband spent 10 years or so in Somalia, and discovered that age diminished his resistance to strong heat. In Somalia, he never felt it.) We both discovered that the heat took away our energy. Normal, no doubt.

But this takes nothing away from your beautiful location and your beautiful condo.

Beautiful Condo on a Beautiful Beach = Great Honeymoon!

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at this beautiful property from 5/27-5/31 and were very pleased. It is decorated beautifully and the location could not have been better. We felt very safe and comfortable there, and we thoroughly enjoyed walking along the beach and swimming, as the water was very calm and inviting here. The property managers were very friendly and helpful, as well. We did not rent a vehicle, and were able to easily walk along the beach to Flamingo and back during low tide. We did rent a scooter for a couple of days, and that was a highlight of the trip b/c we were able to go where we wanted at our own pace rather than in an organized tour- highly recommend doing that so you can visit the other gorgeous beaches in the area. You will not be disappointed with this property. And the owner, Kalli, is a genuinely wonderful person. Very easy to work with and provided tons of information for us as this was our first trip to Costa Rica. We had a great time and are already talking about taking a return trip for our anniversary!

We just wanted to say thank you for sharing your home away from home with us.  Your place is in  a great location and we really enjoyed the spectacular view.  The sunsets were a special bonus!   It was extremely comfortable and relaxing. We also really appreciated all the information you provided regarding the area and logistics.
 
Additionally, we would like to express our thanks for Rosalind's (your property manager) additional help in making us feel quite at home.  Her thoughtfulness to provide coffee, milk and fresh fruit was an extra special touch.

Wow what a fantastic place you have here in this georgeous country! Your condo was amazing! What a fabulous place right on a beautiful beach!   Our wedding and honeymoon here were fantastic!  We have to say we found your condo to be even better than described in the pictures and emails!
