Inside the farmhouse is crammed with period features - exposed stone walls, fireplaces, wooden beams, cornicing, original staircase etc. The main house is on 2 levels. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms and 1 triple bedroom. The public rooms and bunk room are downstairs. An extra double sofa bed is found downstairs in the 2nd sitting room / music room. The main sitting room forms the heart of the house with exposed stone walls, wooden ceiling beams, a wood burning stove and patio doors onto the garden. A cosy second sitting room/play room/games room gives additional public space or can function as an extra bedroom. The large luxury dining kitchen has been recently renovated with beautiful custom slate flooring and granite worktops.
It houses an electric oven/hob and integrated microwave, an oil fired Raeburn cooker and integrated dishwasher and washer/dryer. A separate dining room with oak table and leather chairs provides an alternative more formal dining setting.

Mrs D Wake purchased this farmhouse in 2006
We fell in love with the place and so will you. Now can't bear to sell it so rent it out.
Homely farm remote enough to feel in the country but on the door step of the Scottish Highlands, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Only 25 minutes from Edinburgh Airport.
In the general are there are plenty of activities such as horse riding, golf, fishing, walks and cycle routes. Also there is a rich historical landscape with castles, palaces, roman walls, canals and old steam railways to explore.
