St Anton provides 276 km of pistes and 174 km of backcountry runs to get your teeth into. What’s more, the snowfall (and superb snowmaking facilities) in St. Anton is usually sufficient to maintain the slopes up to the end of April. The skiing in St. Anton is superb. Beginners are the only level of group who do not have ideal conditions; once you have conquered the nursery slopes there are few obvious runs to progress to.
The standard of the pistes in St. Anton is high and when you are exploring the on-piste terrain you should remember that a red run in St. Anton may be trickier than a red run in other parts of Europe. The backcountry freeride routes in St. Anton are also infamous and attract a number of the World’s best skiers and snowboarders. St. Anton is situated close to the other popular Austrian resorts of Lech, Zürs and St. Christoph.
