Great stay in Anchorage

We reserved many months in advance with Dawn, and were grateful to have that done. Our plans were all made for four couples, with one couple having to cancel at the last minute for medical reasons. So the six of us were rattling around in that big house. It would be a wonderful spot for a multi-generation family to stay while enjoying Anchorage- three living areas, two dining areas, and lots of beds.
We were unlucky enough to be there the night of the big storm in Anchorage. Owner Bob happened to be there that evening, staying in their apartment over the garage, and brought us a flashlight just in case the power went out. Sure enough, 10 PM, storm started and the power went out. The only one who really suffered was our CPAP user- no sleep for him. But the rest of us slept like babies and the power came on early the next morning.
While the property is not right in town, a rental car makes everything accessible easily. The listing is complete and well represented. The only thing I hadn't picked up on was that we wouldn't have the use of the garage. But that didn't present any problems for us.
It was a pleasure to stay in this lovely and well-furnished home.
