Schull Cottage Rental Photos and Description
1 Bedroomed cottage, 1 shower room, sleeps 3 people
Rock Cottage 2 is a converted stable building with all modern conveniences on the inside, but preserving its historic character on the outside. It is situated in the walled courtyard/garden of a Georgian hunting lodge dating back to 1826. The property stands on 17 acres of garden, paddocks and heather covered hills. A short walk leads onto a hill, where the stunning views over Dunmanus Bay and the rugged landscape unfold and where a bench allows the visitor to sit and enjoy the magical sunsets. The setting of the entire property is unique and utterly charming. Tranquility is guaranteed, but it is also close to everything the area has to offer. The ideal location to explore and come back to your home away from home.

About Jacqueline Sarsfield
Having rented Rock Cottage for one year, I decided to purchase this beautiful home and completed in June 2014.

Why Jacqueline Sarsfield chose Schull
I owned a holiday cottage in West Cork for almost ten years and having fallen in love with the area where I spent a lot of my childhood, I decided to move full time to Ireland.
What makes this cottage unique
It is the location of the house that drew me here in the first place. It is near to many facilities, whilst benefitting from the peace and quiet. The 17 acres of beautiful grounds, allow the animals to roam freely. One of the most beautiful features can be found at the top of the garden which has a 360 degree view over Dunmanus Bay, the sunsets and Mount Gabriel. A very romantic spot.
Guestbook comments from the manager
"This is a spacious excellently equipped three bed cottage in a lovely pretty and quiet spot. Inside it is stylish, clean and comfortable - host Barbara has thought of everything and was really helpful and friendly !
There is one large bedroom, modern good sized kitchen, modern bathroom and comfortable lounge / diner with open fire in addition to full oil central heating.
This is a great area for seeing a beautiful quiet and natural part of Ireland without the tourist coaches. Cork and places like Kinsale are easily accessible for a day trip.
We would recommend Rock Cottage without hesitation"
