Our privately owned spacious villa is fully equipped to a high standard and is full of character. Fully air conditioned and centrally heated (for those chilly nights in the winter. ) Amenities include a bar in the Portuguese style lounge (not fully stocked) but you can buy your own chilled wine in the nearby supermarket, which is just a short walk away. A beautiful non-overlooked pool including a baby pool and a pool shower by pool. Barbecue on the terrace where the sun shines all day and into the evening. Fully fitted kitchen with washing machine. Stunning views across valley to sea. 2 championship golf courses 2kms. town 10 mins drive. beach 5 min drive. Carvoeiro tennis 5 mins. No extra charges for cot/spare bed. All linen and towels are provided however please bring your own pool/beach towels.E lectricity, Water, Maid Service and Fully Air Conditioned/Heating are all included in price. Sesmarias Carvoeiro is a beautiful and picturesque fishing village in the Algarve where the people are friendly and restaurants are plentiful. Our villa is situated just outside Carvoeiro a 5 minute walk away from the famous Carvoeiro Tennis Club.The small village of Sesmarias has a local supermarket. Our villa is just 45mins from Faro Airport and the new motorway makes this an easy drive.

Beautiful views across valley to sea.: There is plenty to do for all nearby. Two championship golf courses are closeby together with the Carvoeiro Tennis Club with all amenties is just a 5 minute walk away. The villa is situated in a small cul de sac and therefore no noise at night from scooters etc., Walking along the valley opposite is a stunning way to start and finish a day.

Where to visit: There are loads to do. In particular why not eat at the quaint town of Portimao where Sardines are cooked on the barbeque the traditional portugese way. The shopping is good here as well. Beaches in Carvoeiro are stunning and the caves/coves are a great way to search for shells. There are two waterparks the AQUA PARK and SLIDE and SPLASH well worth a visit. Also a Zoomarine is also worth a visit. If you go further inland the beautiful and stunning Monchique is well worth a visit (take your own empty water bottles).Ferragudo is a beautiful and traditional fishing village a must to visit.

Travel like the portuguese: The new motorway is a must to use to get about and see the local people. Take a trip to the town of Sagres and eat traditional cataplana by the quayside - its beautiful. Another quaint town is Tavira which is well worth a visit. Closer to home try the local restaurants in Benegil a definite must to visit. The beautiful and stunning unspoilt Ferragudo is a must to visit and is only a short drive away.

A lovely stay

The villa is completely private and not overlooked. The view is really wonderful. The local village in Sesmaries has some good bars and there is a fantastic italian on the corner called Donato which is very good value for money and can walk home from there in around 10 to 15mins. Overall the villa has everything you could wish for and is not too far from the village of Ferragudo or the other way to Carvoeiro. I will definately be returning.

Nous avons passé avec 2 couples amis une très agréable semaine à la Villa of Peace parfaitement située pour visiter les plus beaux endroits d'Algarve, tout en étant proche de nombreux et très bons restaurants, de commerces (où l'on peut se procurer du pain frais du matin) de supermarché, de golf et de tennis. La villa, spacieuse, offre tout le confort et les équipements décrits pour un séjour sans soucis. Nous la recommandons sans hésitation à toutes celles et ceux qui souhaiteraient visiter cette belle région du Portugal ou les gens sont charmants, les poissons délicieux et le climat fabuleux à cette saison (septembre 2009).

Best holiday villa we've stayed in

We visited the "villa of peace" in July 2009 for 2 weeks. Everything was perfect and we had the best villa holiday yet. I would thoroughly recommend it and will definitely be booking again. The villa is spacious, equipped with absolutely everything you need - including air conditioning in every room (at no extra cost).
It was just like being home from home. The pool is ideal as it has a shallow end and steps leading into it and is just a nice size so no need for pool heating as it gets nice and warm during the day. It also has a nice little baby pool too.
Location is ideal - only 5 mins drive into Carveiro but a pleasant 45 minute walk if you prefer as you can always get a taxi back! Anne has provided an information book in the villa with numbers of taxis who will pick you up for about 6 Euros.
Booking the villa was so easy and Anne was very helpful.
It certainly lived up to it's name as it was very "peaceful" indeed!

A stunning villa which had everything we could wish for. thank you for making our holiday the best we have ever had. We had some special requirements which you took care of and this made our holiday extra special. The location of your villa is superb and the views were stunning. Your pool particuarly the baby pool was extremely handy. Thank you again we will see you in 2003.
