There is something truly magical about this resort; it seems to epitomise what the island of Sal is all about; wide, open views in all directions, peace and tranquility, natural and man made beauty, and the genuine friendliness of everyone you meet. These are the reasons we chose to purchase a villa here. The main tourist hustle and bustle on the island takes place in the charming town of Santa Maria, and although you may wish to visit here during the day for its stunning beaches, and by night for its vast choice of superb restaurants, we love coming back to the special hide-away that is Murdeira..it is just a 5 euro 10 minute taxi ride away.
Having said that, the resort offers all one can want for a thoroughly relaxing and enchanting time; a superb 30 metre pool with great views and pool side snack bar; miles of coastline either side to explore in virtual solitude, the rocky shoreline interspersed with sandy coves, a fairly priced restaurant with excellent menu, and after all that if you have any energy remaining, there is always the gym or tennis court.
The villa is extremely spacious..over 150sq m. and most importantly it has AIR CONDITIONING. We have tried to furnish it as if it were our permanent home, with high quality comfortable fittings and plenty of drawer and cupboard space to accommodate all your clothes and stuff. The sleeping arrangements are very flexible; in addition to the 3 double bedrooms there are 2 double sofa beds in the lounge, allowing 8 people to stay in total if need be. Likewise there is sufficient dining space and seating for 8 people in both dining room and lounge.
There are 3 seperate sun terraces, offering both sun and shade and one is very private. There is air conditioning in all 3 bedrooms plus the lounge/dining area, which is of undoubted benefit during those days when the island really hots up, and allows you to close windows, doors etc. and keep the outside elements out, when required.
