This beautiful 4 bedroom Villa is in an elevated secluded position surrounded by beautiful countryside and distant sea views in the San Agustin area close to San Jose, San Antonio and an easy drive to Ibiza town. The Villa is perfectly located for easy access to the best beaches on the Island at Cala Bassa, Cala Conte and Cala Tarida all of which are no more than a 10-15 minute drive away. The Villa also boasts a superb central “feature” courtyard with a BBQ which is perfect for al fresco dining and the Villa also benefits from a satellite TV system with SKY News and BBC1 and ITV channels. Cots and high chairs are available on request. The Villa is always very popular with families and those seeking an 'away from it all' experience but is NOT suitable for 'boisterous' groups wanting a 'party' base. All male groups are not allowed.

The Villa is in an elevated rural position about 1 kilometer from the main San Augustin/San Jose to Ibiza town road. The Villa is close to the junctions to all the main beach areas and only a 15-20 minute drive from Ibiza Town and Ibiza airport. Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa, Cala Conte, Cala Moli, Cala D'hort and Cala Vedella beaches are all within easy reach. There are two excellent Spanish style restaurants within a 5 minutes drive of the Villa and many more just beyond. Both San Agustin and San Jose villages are barely 5-10 minutes away. A hire car is highly recommended. Taxis can be arranged.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Longer term rentals for over 2 weeks are negotiable on prices above. Please also note that whilst prices are shown in Sterling all payments must be made in Euros to the agents bank account in Ibiza. This is easy and quick to do and full instructions will be given when the reservation is confirmed. PLEASE NOTE that the price you pay is fixed in Euros at the inter bank rate on the day of confirming the reservation and all subsequent payments are calculated in Euros irrespective of fluctuations in the exchange rates. The Euro price you will pay will be confirmed on your reservation confirmation letter.
  • A deposit of 20% of the booking fee is required on reservation and the balance is required 6 weeks before arrival. Please note there is a 800 Euro (or Sterling equivalent) damage deposit payable on arrival in cash this is fully refundable on departure assuming no damage, losses or breakages have occurred.
  • To keep our rental costs to you as low as we can we operate a self check in system. Details will be sent when the final balance is paid. Map and key details will follow when we have flight arrival details and address for us to send them. Our caretaker (English lady) offers a 'check in' service if you wanted where she will meet you close by at an easy to find location and check you (or any earlier arrivals) in and show you around on arrival for which she charges €30 Euros before 10 pm and €50 after (paid directly to her in resort). She comes up to see you anyway usually next morning to collect the damage deposit but if you are not confident with directions and maps and want to be shown around it might be wise to book this and I'll forward details of how to arrange to meet her .

  • The 5th studio (annexe) bedroom can either share bathroom facilities with the two twins rooms upstairs or can have exclusive use of the shower and toilet in the upstairs utility room annexe. Excllent Family Holiday

Just stayed at Villa Mardi Gras for a week in June 2009. There were 2 families with two babies (an 8 and 10 month old) plus the inlaws; so 8 of us in total. The villa is in a great location with easy access to some realy family friendly beaches such as Cala Tarida, Cala Vadella and Cala Garbo. The pool at the villa was great and being able to leave the babies asleep in the living room whilst we enjoyed the BBQ area and a bottle of vino. Do try Sa Sosca on the San agustin road to San An - Excellent fish and meat

Cots and Highchairs were brand new and of excellent quality.
Owner's Response: These were two lovely families and it was great to have them over and they certainly kept the local restaurant trade in good health! They left the Villa spotless so please come back soon! The Villa is superb for families with small babies and we even got a large stash of local brand pampers in for them to save the luggage space.

The best of all worlds!

Spacious, cool,beautiful views & enough bathrooms!!

I could go on - 'Mardi Gras' was absolutely perfect for our very mixed party (3 generations).Some chose to go wandering on foot, some headed for the nearest beach others just lounged with a good book. Bliss! There was space enough for us all to come together again after a hard day exploring for a cooling dip in our very own pool, then to eat dinner - even cooking is no problem when it's BBQ on a great terrace, glass of wine in hand !

The villa, although in a wonderful quiet position, is close enough to bars & restaurants when we wanted them.

A truely lovely property. We ALL had a very, very relaxing holiday - we will return - we will recommend!

A wonderful villa, in the perfect place

My friends and I had an incredible stay at Villa Mardi Gras. It’s a beautiful spot with stunning views from the top terrace and we couldn’t have been happier with the villa. It was clean, tidy and well furnished with great living spaces. The central courtyard and BBQ area is a top bonus and a great area to cook and chill out, especially to get away from the heat but still be outdoors. We loved having the swimming pool all to ourselves and having a cool glass of vino on the terrace, watching the sun go down. We found the location was just as we wanted too: isolated enough to be quiet and a good position to explore on foot, but only a few minutes drive or a long walk into town. When we didn’t have the energy to cook it was only a short walk to a couple of great restaurants like Can Berri in San Agustin Village or Sa Soca along the main road, and on the one night it rained the satellite tv and sky plus were the perfect antidote.

I’d recommend the villa to anyone who needs some time to chill out and make the most of Ibiza. My friends and I found the place very well appointed and the position a perfect compromise whether we went out or stayed in. Some of the best restaurants, bars and clubs are just a short drive away, but we still felt like it was our own secluded paradise. We are saving up to go back later next year!

Relaxing heaven

We stayed at Villa Mardi Gras last July and everything was just as advertised on the website if not better. The location of the Villa is ideal as a base for exploring the Island and we recommend nearby Cala Vedella beach if you have children as our little ones loved it there. The Villa is great for familes (we had 2 under fives with us) with spacious bedrooms and the satellite TV was a godsend. The only negative feedback is that we would have preferred a larger oven and also we weren't able to use the garage (used as the owners store) which meant the car got very hot in the driveway but these are only minor issues as the Villa is fabulous and we are definitely planning to return next summer.

Villa was fantastic, perfect for what we needed!

Only negative comments would be that it could be a tiny bit cleaner (there was a few bits left behind from the last guests) and at that time of year, perhaps warmer covers!

All in all though, fantastic house and would go back again!
