Beautiful 3 bedroomed farmhouse sleeps 6. Brimming with character, the house is full of beams and traditional features and has been modernised to provide a warm and comfortable feel. It is fully heated by gas radiators and the huge lounge also contains a cosy log burner. Superbly equipped with satellite TV, CD, DVD players, radio, books, games. Set in a stunning valley, surrounded by forest and farmland with exceptional views. The stained glass windows play with the light in the valley to create colourful shadows that add to the tranquillity to create a serene calm. Rural but close to all amenities. Car required. Very peaceful setting, ideal for children and adults alike. Perfect walks and bike rides from the house.

A stunning 16th century Colombage farmhouse. Fully restored. The property has many large windows to both sides so is very light and airy. There are two single and one set of double doors leading out onto a terrace the full length of the property. The garden is south facing and sheltered.

A large fitted kitchen with all appliances, a separate toilet and bath/shower room to the left as you enter the property. Leading from the kitchen to a very large lounge with log burner. Access to the bedrooms via a wooden staircase. To the right is the master bedroom, to the left a twin bedroom leading into a dressing area and a double bedroom. All bedrooms have dormer windows and a velux.

20 mins from the coastline of Normandy with its unspoilt rural beaches. The closest beaches are the charming Veules les Roses and St Valery en Caux. At both of these you can buy the fishermen's fresh catch of the day. Each also has children’s play areas and paddling pools at the beach.

There are daily markets in the area at many different local towns, including Doudeville (nearest town), Cany Barville, St Valery, Yvetot and more.

Cany Barville, just 15 minutes drive, has a lovely lake with water sports and cycling trail. Rouen and Dieppe are each about 40 minutes drive from the house and are packed with interesting places to visit. An hour away is Honfleur with its great quayside restaurants, cobbled streets and art galleries. There are great restaurants in Hericourt en Caux, just 10 minutes drive away.

Chateaux and gardens are plentiful and closer to home, there is lovely walking countryside directly from the house. Perfect for relaxation and getting away from it all!

We spent 1 Week at the property at the end of Feb2010. We found it warm, welcoming and well placed for both a place to relax and locality. The property is surrounded by neat well kept gardens on the outskirts of a small village, shops etc within easy reach by car. Inside it is clean and well furnished with everything you will need while on your holiday. The building has character without the need to feel like you have travelled back in time with respect to all mod cons. In summary a good place to stay one which we will visit again.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
