A cozy place to spend your days at Lake District

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely cabin! Perfect for my family of four. The cabin has everything you need and it's very well kept and clean. Val, the owner, would rapidly answer any questions I had. It is well located, close to everything around the area. We even had ducks coming to greet us everyday. This was a highlight for my girls. Thanks for the lovely stay.

We loved it!

If you're looking for a nice, peaceful home from home then this is the place for you. Close enough to the lakes and all the local attractions, but far enough away if you just want to relax. There's not a great deal to do on the complex itself, but we knew that before booking and used it as a perfect base. The restaurant on the complex was nice as was the bar although both get busy, so you need to book or be patient. Overall then, a very nice break. It's a shame the weather wasn't nicer because the patio area looked a great place for a spot of lunch, but there's always next time! Thanks Val.

What A Treat !!

This Cabin in just Wonderful. The decor is beautiful, crisp and clean. There is everything you need and we could not fault it. The beds and pillows are comfortable, and the living room is so cozy that we didnt want to leave. We were there for New Year and had a fantastic time. The restaurant on site is also lovely and reasonably priced. We would love to come again in the summer and spend some time on the lovely decking, soaking up the views. Thank you sooooo much to Val for the hire of this amazing Cabin, I will recommend staying here to everyone.

Absolutely beautiful!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The lodge was stunning. The smiles on our faces as we entered it, said it all. Everything was immaculate, clean and homely. There were home comforts such as central heating, a fireplace, lovely bathroom, a well equipped kitchen and electricals. The correspondence between ourselves and the owner was very good and helpful. The owner also has a folder with lots of information of local shops, places to eat and visit etc.

We chose a very blustery and rainy weekend to stay, but the lodge made up for that, by being warm, welcoming and cosy.

I would not hesitate for one second in recommending the lodge to anyone who wants a little bit of luxury near to the lakes.

Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to stay.

25th Wedding Anniversary Treat

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic !! Just come home from staying in this Wonderful Lodge, and Really didn't want to Leave!! Had to Leave eventually because Val and her Husband were sitting outside in the car waiting for us to clear off !! Couldn't leave without giving everywhere a final clean round, because it felt more like a Home than a Lodge and wanted to look after a Gem of a place like this,so we could stay again in the future ! Recently renewed decor and furniture, which was immaculate before, only made the weekend even more luxurious but still relaxing, with every mod con needed to feel at Home.We had a lovely Decked Area outside the French Doors, and a nice Seating Area at the rear of the Lodge.Perfectly positioned set back just from the Lake, with an easy walk around the whole of the Site and Lake,I've got to say we picked well staying here !!As for the Owners,Val and her Husband couldn't do enough for us to make our stay Perfect, and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this Luxury Lodge to anybody ( Except Family and Friends, because we want this place for ourselves !! ) We both know this was the Perfect Lodge in the Perfect Location,to Celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary ,and will have Great Memories from our All Too Short Break !! Thanks again for letting us use your Lovely 2nd Home, and we'll be in touch very soon to book another Break, Jacky and Kevin xx Maghull,Liverpool.

Beautiful lodge.Perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at the lodge with no problems finding it as Val had given us perfect directions. When we entered the lodge we were immediately impressed. The decor was very modern and fresh and the lodge was impeccably clean and well furnished.

We had all the facilities we needed to make this like home and the only downside was that we didn't have enough days to spend here.We definitely will return as we think we would be very hard pushed to match this.

The lodge is in a great position overlooking the lake and it's great to have the ducks waddling by every now and again.

Perfect chill out break we just wish that we could have stayed longer
