Sandilands is an idyllic place for a holiday whether you want to lie on the beach, play golf on one of the many excellent courses in the area or just explore the Wolds and the Fens. Sutton on Sea is a mile walk along the promenade with the best fish and chips for miles around! There are a range of excellent small shops that provide everything you could want. There is also a children's playground, multi purpose activity area and paddling pool.
Mablethorpe and Skegness have good cinemas and live entertainment throughout the summer season. There are a variety of restaurants, pubs and hotels in Sutton on Sea as well as take away outlets. The Grange and Links in Sandilands does reasonably priced bar meals and has an excellent restaurant.The Fat Seagull, a new bistro near the sea front serves excellent home made food beginning with breakfast and carrying on until late. It is closed on Mondays. Attached to The Fat Seagull is a small convenience store that sells the basics as well as sandwiches, soup, coffees and ice cream, they also have a selection on home cooked meats, pies etc to take away.
Meals are also available at the golf club. Other local golf clubs include Woodhall Spa, Kenwick Park, Skegness North Shore, Seacroft, Louth and Woodthorpe.
The market town of Louth is 30 minutes drive away and historic Lincoln 50 minutes.
Golf: Sandilands has its own 18 hole links course which provides excellent hospitality. The last week in July is a popular golf week with competitions to suit everybody.
The 2 courses at Skegness (Seacroft and North Shore) are within 30minutes. Further inland there are the two championship courses at Woodhall Spa
There are two very different courses in Louth ( 20 minutes). Kenwick Park is a lovely parkland course set in the grounds of an old country house,with an excellent club house and fabulous food. The Louth Golf Club has some challenging holes and is set on the outskirts of this popular market town.
Further afield there are courses at Grimsby, Boston, Spalding and Lincoln making Sandilands an ideal place to explore some of the best courses in Lincolnshire
