Large airy detached villa, with orange and lemon trees in the garden, sun terrace, and right on the beach. This is the idyllic holiday villa with three spacious bedrooms, a good size lounge and a large south facing sun terrace, big enough to lounge and dine and play - all at the same time! You have your own gate down to the sea, and the sea is so close to the villa you feel like it's your own private beach. The water is clean, clear and a sparkling deep blue, and everything you will need - tavernas, mini-markets, watersports are a short dreamy walk up the beach.

Tolo is a charming holiday destination thanks to the beautiful scenery and the crystal clear waters. Originally a traditional Greek fishing village, it now offers a good choice of tavernas, Greek cafes, shops and night life, but still retains its character and is left largely unspoilt by tourism. The villa is located right on the beach, literally 2 meters from the waters edge, and will suit those who want a truly relaxing carefree holiday. Although a car will be useful for sightseeing, there is everything you'll need a short walk along the beach, so there's no need to drive anywhere. No roads to cross to get to the sea - just walk out of your front gate and you are on the beach! There are attractions in the surrounding area if you choose a day out. The nearby town of Nafplio is very popular, with shops and cafes in the elegant Old Town. There are many famous sites in the area, including Mycenae, Tiryns, Ancient Epidavros. Boat trips to local island. Water skiing, sailing, etc

Whats available on the beaches.: Half way along the beach there are pedal boats for hire. A little further still and you will find Costas who has a banana behind a speed boat, and huge rubber rings for hire. There are also pleasure boats for hire, glass bottomed boats, snorkeling, water skiing, wake boarding. Ideal for children (Big and small!) In nearby Nauplion there is a diving center with qualified instructors and Captain Aris will charter you his yacht on the water front in Nauplion town. (He may even tell you the time he was kidnapped by pirates and show you his medal of honour and the bullet scars that remain on the mast.) Along the beach from Nauplion is Nea Kios where you will find Costas (yes, the same guy!) Yorgo and Pandallis who run a school for Kite surfing with ideal conditions.

Night Life: Nauplion and nearby Nea Kios is renowned for its night life. Bars galore along the water front in Nauplion and Bouzouki bars and night clubs, some of the best in Greece, along the beach front towards Nea Kios.

Sightseeing.: There are many and varied things to see and places to visit. Some close at hand some for a day trip. Everything from cruise boats which can take you to the islands of Spetses and Hydra for the day trip, to a visit to underground beehive tombs on the mainland. Highlight included the ancient theatre of Epidavros, the ancient ruins of Mycenae, the colossal Cyclopian walls of Tirins, the pyramid of Elinkio, a church build over water infront of caves, monasteries, wine tasting. Further afield that are waterparks, a rack and pinion railway up a mountain, a deserted walled village, The Rio Anderio - the largest bridge of it's type in the world. So much to discover.

We had a wonderful time in Tolo! The house is incredible. Right on the beach and the views are gorgeous. We took our 5 children and we all had a wonderful time. We are already dreaming of going back. There are shops right across the street and delicious restaurants close by. the gyro's down the street are fabulous. Everyone we met in Tolo was so kind and friendly. They really made our stay perfect. That and did I mention the sea is absolutely lovely! Mr. Calothis was very kind and helpful and made everything go very smoothly. And he gave us great tips on the many fascinating ancient ruins that are close by. Enjoy!

We had a wonderful time at the Villa. It was just as advertised. The property was clean and tidy. The Owner was very helpful and when we asked about an Ironboard it was brouht in person the next day. We would recommend this place. You have everything on your doorstep. Shops, Restaurants, transport and not forgetting the lovely beach and views. Our only concern was how long it took to get from Athens to Tolon. One small issue, one of the rooms, although it had a wonderful view, there was no wardrobe to hang clothes which meant sharing with other rooms. It did not ruin our holiday. Nearby Nafplion is a must. Slightly more expensive than Tolo but worth the visit. Cannot wait until our next holiday at the Villa.

Delightful stay in Tolo

The description of this property is right: all of the essential facilities are present within the villa, but it is its location, directly on the beach with a terrace where you'll spend all of your time, is the real attraction.

Tolo is a fairly basic village resort, but has plenty of bars, tavernas and shops - everything you might want to buy is just a matter of metres away. A short drive away is Nafplio, which is a more beautiful and sophisticated place - just right for a nice evening meal and stroll around some excellent shops. Also within easy reach are some interesting historical sights. We combined our stay with a couple of nights in Athens - which made for an ideal week

The property owner was extremely helpful and co-operative and I would not hesitate in recommending this property to anyone looking for a beachside villa in mainland Greece.
