Within seconds of waking, you can step from the apartment and into a blissful, safe sea, in the midst of magnificence and majesty, for you are in the heart of the earliest settlement of Malta, which became the first Maltese city of the Knights of St. John, and later the British Naval Headquarters for the Mediterranean for 150 years.
A stroll of five to seven minutes takes you into the historic city of Vittoriosa (Birgu), where there are local provisions shops, and a bakery which is a living museum of a kind. A similar stroll along the marina waterfront delivers you to a parade of wonderful restaurants open for both lunch and dinner. Diving is a possibility and can be arranged with local diving teachers. Local boats can transport you to Sliema and to Valletta, or alternatively the buses are close by.
Moreover, this modern apartment is LICENSED by the Malta Tourism Authority and is compliant with all MTA requirements with respect to health and safety (fire regs) and comfort.
The property offers three beautiful and tastefully furnished bedrooms - one with en-suite bathroom. The rooms are light, bright and elegant. Each room has an electric fan, and all benefit from the delicious breeze from the sea.
The sitting room has relaxing sun loungers, ample wicker chairs, and a magically relaxing ambiance to just be. The kitchen is off the large sitting room area and offers a huge table to gather around.
The wooden shutters of the living room open to the terrace and the magnificence of the historic view and to the sea. There is an outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the atmosphere and the view at night. Often this vista offers a great view of the frequent firework displays across the island when festa celebrations coincide with your stay.
You look out toward the old British Naval hospital in Bighi, a classical-style building, that is now home to Malta's restoration centre.
Adjacent to St Angelo Mansions is Fort St. Angelo, the jewel in the Malta's historic crown, and home to the Resident Knight of Malta. Across the Grand Harbour is the World Heritage City of Valletta, accessible in 5 minutes by boat taxi from the waterfront (or 20 minutes by bus). An international marina for yachts and super-yachts lies on the other side of St Angelo Mansions, together with the Maritime Museum, and the Inquisitor's Palace. You are a five minute walk from the historic town of Vittoriosa, packed full of amazing heritage buildings to visit, including the homes of the Knights of Malta.
Endorsements: 'Wow! We were blown away by the location: the stunning view... not overlooking anyone or feeling overlooked, ...being one minute walk from proper Maltese living... and only fifteen minutes from the capital via water taxi. The apartment is ideal for young families - no steps, easy to make toddler safe and an outside that is like another room! It was everything that your web page advertised and more.' (Beccy and Family, UK. )
'It almost goes without saying that we have enjoyed our week in Malta enormously. The apartment is excellent and easy to relax in. Vittoriosa is great for wandering around in and the perfect place from which to visit the sites - a short boat ride from Valletta and a cheap ricketty bus to wherever you want to go to.' (Sandra and Colin UK.)
'Luckily for us that we so fell in love last time that we had to return again. This time we didn't have a holiday... we came home to live in Malta for a week. Thank you so much for the wonderment of it all.' (Mary)
