Photos and Description of the Mid Wales vacation rental 2 bedroom cottage to sleep 4 within a listed house estate in North Powys.

Bryngwyn is a very fine Listed 18th cenuttry house surrounded by 18th and early 19th century parkland. Llanfyllin is just over 2 miles away and The Stumble Inn is a 10 minute walk across the park. The coach house is a spacious, elegant and welcoming cottage, close to several National Trust and other historic properties. Entrance into large well-equipped country kitchen/dining area, with Rayburn, electric cooker with oven, grill and hop, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. 4 steps lead to large living room with double aspect views, TV/DVD player, oil fired log effect stove and further dining table and chairs. Twin/double bedroom, separate bathroom (no shower). Large double bedroom and ensuite bathroom (no shower). Outside parking, terrace with BBQ and garden furniture. Guests may walk around the garden. Tennis court available. Guests can BBQ down by the lake. Pets are not allowed.

The Coach House at Bryngwyn, near Llanfyllin in Powys, is situated not far from the English-Welsh border. Up the road is Oswestry, which is named after King Oswald of Northumbria. The welsh mountains surround the area and Oswestry is a good starting point for exploring the vast mountains. There is an ancient hill-fort, (which is famously where Queen Guinevere was born) that stands above the town. Lake Vyrnwy is close by and offers charming views and scenery. There are also numerous castles situated around the area which are worth visiting. Powis, Chirk and Whittington castles are all in near proximity and offer interesting insights into majestic living. Powis Castle holds the fascinating treasures of Clive of India. Powis Castle is situated within one of Prince Charles’ favourite Gardens, which was also recently voted the sixth best in Britain by the ‘Britain’s Finest’ television series.

Twin/double bedroom (zip/link), separate bathroom (no shower). Large double bedroom and en-suite bathroom (no shower). Outside there is parking, a terrace with BBQ and garden furniture. Guests may walk round the garden, the extensive parkland and around the 10 acre lake. There is a tennis court at Bryngwyn, available by mutual arrangement with the owner (guests to provide own racquets and tennis balls). Guests are welcome to barbeque by the lake. Pets are not allowed.
