Great place to stay

We travelled to Sa Coma using viajes-sometimes transfers - they provided a minibus, met us at the airport and transported the 5 of us there and back with great efficiency and a great price.
The apartment is well located for the beach (2 min walk) and local shops including a bigish supermarket (hypermarket) about 5 mins walk away (opens until 21:30 cept Sundays which is earlier). There is also another local supermarket (1 min walk) that has a bakery which opens at 8.30am.
The apartment itself was very clean. It has quite a traditional feel to it with a slightly eclectic collection of furniture. There is a great balcony overlooking the sea, with seating area for dining - very nice. The kitchen could have done with a few extra items, like a cheese grater and colander - although we managed to cope. There are also items like tv, sat, dvd, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, great fridge which makes it more home-like. There are also beach type items which seem to have been collected which is also quite handy.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are all good with plenty of storage. My eldest son was on a pull-out bed in the living room and he said it was a little uncomfortable.
The apartment block looks a little tired - some of the other newer blocks look smarter. There is a nice pool area outside and numbered loungers (with cushions in the apartment) - no fighting or queuing (or both ;).
One of the great plus points is the aircon - even though it was the tail end of Aug, it was nice to have this for the evening heat and humidity.
The beach is very long and very nice - good sand and space for non rented loungers. The sea is super - warm, clean and great for snorkeling.
If you are in to running, it is very popular from about 7am and a nice run along the beach promenade (just don't trip like I did over the wooden bridge between Sa Coma and S'Illot). You can also hack the other way up a dirt track/hill towards a fortified building (with a canon) and then on down in to Calla Millor.
The slight issue I had, which my kids didn't have, was the Gran Coma hotel next door. They have 'entertainment' on from about 10.30 in the morning and at intermittent times during the day and evening. I am now fully conversant with Agado and 'big fish, little fish'.
The owners are very nice and accommodating - even provided me with wifi access.
All in all, I'd recommend this apartment and Sa Coma.
