Residenza Strozzi, located south-East of Florence, on the historical Strozzi-Riccardi estate, enjoys the best of both worlds: convenient access to city centre and the peace and quiet of Tuscany's countryside. It is situated in a protected and peaceful area of more than 20 hectares, just outside the centre of Florence, at the foot of the hill of Settignano, in a marvellous environment, surrounded by meadows.
A spectacular pine-line avenue gives access to the residence.
The area has many accessible services and is charming and green like the most typical Tuscan countryside. Residenza Strozzi is a perfect medium term rental solution to live and explore Florence and Tuscany.
Here you live in a green resort, far away from the bustle of the city with its humming motorbikes and honking cars. While the location is far from disturbance, it is only a short bus ride into the city. There are two bus stops in walking distance. A 15 minutes bus ride will take you into the city centre.
Stroll to the 'Ponte a Mensola' quarter, which is only 300 m. away, where you will find a grocery, a breakfast bar, restaurants, a tobacconist, a newsagent, a hairdresser and one of the two bus stops. A very large supermarket, a bank, a post office and a pharmacy are about 1 km away .
The Cathedral, Palazzo Vecchio, all museums are within easy reach, as are the nearby small towns of Fiesole and Settignano. The hill of Settignano, just behind Residenza Strozzi, preserves some of the most attractive Florentine villas.
Wonderful walks lead towards Settignano, Corbignano and, through of wood of cypresses, as so far as Fiesole. It was in these hills designed by man that Giovanni Boccaccio, Desiderio da Settignano, Bernardo and Antonio Rossellino, Michelangelo, Leigh Hunt, Charles Armitage Brown, Janet Ross, Edward Hutton, Mark Twain, Niccolò Tommaseo, Gabriele D'Annunzio, Bernardo Barenson and many others found their inspiration.
