Situated in the heart of the Perigord Noir, Berbiguieres is a small picturesque village. The village is set beneath the walls of the 16th century Chateau. It is a quiet and peaceful place without shops, bars or restaurants, and ideal for those wishing to get away from the 'rat race' and relax - either by our swimming pool, on their private terrace or in the 7+ acres of grounds. Our property has been lovingly renovated and is equipped to a high standard throughout. Berbiguieres is ideally suited for visiting the 1,000 chateaux of the Dordogne, the famous troglodyte sites of Lascaux and Les Eyzies, or the world renowned vineyards of Bordeaux and St Emilion. For the more adventurous there are a multitude of caves to visit, canoeing on two rivers, pony trekking, cycling or hiking. There are two golf courses within 8 kilometers, one nine hole and the other a full 18 hole with a driving range. The resident owners will make you welcome and are happy to offer help and advice where required.

Berbiguieres is situated in the heart of the Perigord Noir and is equidistant - 4 km - from the small towns of Siorac-en-Perigord and St Cyprien (where there is a good range of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants). There is also a supermarket in Siorac.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A non-refundable 50% booking deposit is required on booking, and the balance is due eight weeks prior to the holiday.

    We strongly recommend taking out Travel Insurance to cover cancellation.

    Cancellation - In the event of cancellation the owners can only refund deposits or balance payments if they are able to re-let the property for the same period. Any costs involved will be borne by the client.
  • A refundable Security deposit of £100 is payable with the balance payment to cover breakages, excessive cleaning, or unpaid local bills.

    This will be returned after departure, provided all is in order.

How could we fail to have a fabulous holiday when the setting is perfect? The Cromptons, Dorset
We have thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks here. a beautiful & idyllic village and a very welcoming family made it really memorable. The Whitakers, Pocklington, Yorks. Beyond our wildest dreams ! superb gite (is there anything it doesn't have?), superb hosts and an ambiance that speaks of centuries past. Thank you Phyl and Graeme for a wonderful week. Ann & Alex Walker, Aberdeen. Phyl and Graeme have a little piece of French paradise here. everything at La Grange exceeded our expectations, a comfortable and hospitable base for our Dordogne forays. Wonderful stay in Berbiguieres

We have been to France many times but Berbiguieres has been our most memorable holiday yet. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean (description on website completely accurate re layout amenities etc) and there is everything you need, the orchard is a fantastic space to relax with walnut and cherry trees. We would end the day by Graeme and Phyl's pool watching the swallows fly past with the impressive backdrop of the chateau.

Graeme and Phyl are outstanding hosts, really lovely people who are always ready to help yet never intrusive. They gave us excellent recommendations for days out both when we were single and later when we returned with children. Restaurants in the area stand up to some of the best in London and are very reasonably priced - Julian's and Belle Etoile highly recommended. Again excellent guidance from our hosts. The outdoor markets in nearby towns were great.

We hope to return again, the area is an utterly beautiful one, great place for walking cycling canoeing riding, we did them all, also shopping in Sarlat, chateaux, vineyards...

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Enjoy!
