Photos and Description of the Borovets vacation chalet rental Warm, cosy and friendly with beautiful views of the stunning Rila Mountains

The lodge offers beautiful accommodation for up to 16 guests, however there is no requirement that your party must fill the lodge as we take bookings from individuals, couples, small or large groups. We do offer large group discounts. Each bedroom is of a generous size with a central heating radiator and they are all furnished to a high standard with quality bedding and duckdown duvets. Every bedroom has it's own balcony, 6 bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms while 2 bedrooms share the 7th shower room. All the shower rooms have heated towel rails & electric razor points. On the ground floor there is a lovely large open plan lounge/dining room with a beautiful log fire, central heating, satellite TV, DVD, CD player with a large selection of DVD's and CD's. There is also books and board games. On the 2nd floor is a further cosy lounge/games room with kitchenette and TV for watching DVD's. You can chose between the catered package which includes high quality home cooked meals or B&B.

The village of Madjare is probably the prettiest village in the region, set in a picturesque valley with stunning views of the Rila Mountains. The lodge nestles between modern and traditional homes giving you the luxury of modern living whilst enjoying the experience of the `real` Bulgaria. Madjare is just 20-mins from two ski resorts, the first being the popular tourist destination of Borovets and the second is the smaller quieter resort of Malyovitsa. 10-mins from the bustling town of Samokov with it's many bars, excellent restaurants and night life and 1-hour from the new international airport in the capital city of Sofia. Madjare has it's own excellent bar/restaurant within a few minutes walk while there are a number of restaurants only 5-mins drive from our lodge. Low cost airlines fly direct to Sofia. Wizzair fly from Luton. Easyjet fly from Manchester & Gatwick. Bulgaria Air fly from Heathrow, Gatwick & Manchester. You can also book flight only with some tour operators.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices from £150 per person per week based on two people sharing a twin or double room and the type of package you choose.
    The catered package includes the following:
    - Collection to/from Sofia airport.
    - Welcome drinks/snacks.
    - Bed/breakfast each day
    - 3-course evening meal served with wine, beer or soft drinks on 6 days.
    - On the one day an evening meal is not provided you will be transported to a local restaurant.
    - Daily transport to/from your activity location.
    A deposit of £80 per person is required to secure a booking. At peak times a supplement of £50 per week will apply to a single person occupying a double room.
    Please enquire about large group bookings because we can offer generous discounts.
    If you require only B&B then give us a call for rates.
    Our prices do not include airfares however there are low cost flights direct to Sofia from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester. For the best discounted fares it is advisable to book at least three

Discounts on private tuition can be obtained if we know your requirements in advance. Unfortunately lift passes can only be purchased in the resort and no discounted deals are available.

A fantastic week

Three families with children and a grandad had a fantastic week at Rila View Lodge. Transfers were on time and efficient and we were dropped right by the gondola every day. The Lodge itself is superbly appointed and finished. The living area downstairs was warm and cosy yet big enough for the kids to run around.
The food was superb. Great big breakfasts and lovely long dinners - all cooked by the clearly talented Sylvia and Sharon on our stay. It was just what we wanted for there to be nothing to do and have a relaxing break.
Regarding the resort.... Borovets is great! We were all intermediates and it had plenty to challenge. With only two black runs which may have put some people off, we found we had the pites to ourselves sometimes - especially early doors. nIt was a great week and we will definately be going back.

A great place to stay!

Excellent communication and assisstance prior to departure. All arrangements worked well.
The accomodation was modern, spacious, well equipped and very welcoming. The lodge was situated approx half an hour from Borovets town, but as with the other arrangements the transfers were very reliable.
We were looked after very well by the owner, who also accommodated for vegetarians in our party, with on the whole English cuisine and portions to satisfy even our teenage sons.
The snow and ski conditions during our stay were fantastic.
would definately recommend this property and would visit again.

Superb base and excellent standard of accomodation

This chalet is clean, well equipped and well situated. The rooms are all spacious and very comfortable, with superb bathroom facilities throughout.Very warm despite the freezing temperatures outside, with a welcoming woodburning stove constantly burning. The food was excellent and very plentiful. The owner, Bob, was helpful, kind and very accomodating. He went to enormous lengths to ensure that our party had a fantastic holiday. Although situated a short drive from the ski resort, the transfers were arranged for us and were very reliable.The skiing at Borovets was also fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend this chalet to a friend and would definitely stay there again in the future.
