This wonderful old farmhouse features two double bedrooms, both with en suite bathrooms and separate toilets, plus a third single bedroom. The house is has been completely refurbished to the highest standards, using only quality materials and appliances. There is a private terrace to the rear of the property, with dining table and chairs. To the front is a garden with swimming pool, overlooking the vineyards and views to the Corbieres hills. To the side of the property is a river garden, with steps down to the river, with it's own rock pool, ideal for swimming. Opposite the house is an orchard, with sun loungers, chairs and table for dining and a barbecue, backing onto the river. The living room is large, with a wood burning stove, television (all main UK stations including radio), stereo (range of DVD's and cd's) and plenty of books, including some on the Cathar region. The dining room leads into the fully equipped kitchen. No smoking.

La Tuilerie is situated in the beautiful valley 'val d'Dagne' surrounded by the foothills of the Corbieres. This is the heart of the 'Cathar' country and is not far from the medieval city of Carcassonne, the largest walled fortress in Europe. The medieval village of Lagrasse is nearby, with it's historic monastry and bridge. The local village has all the amenities, including a grocery store (selling local produce), hairdressers, cash machine, wine cellar, post office, tabac, boulangerie, garage (servicing/petrol) and a doctors surgery/pharmacy. Fresh bread in delivered daily to la Tuilerie. The valley benefits from a Mediterranean climate.
