Attico Aurelia Antica is situated in a quiet residential area only 5 km from St. Peter's, near all kinds of shops, restaurants, bars, with short way to the city centre (bus 881 or 98).

The penthouse floor consists of 2 apartments, you can choose between renting a 2 room apartment with an exclusive 60sq m terrace, ideal for 2-5 persons, a 1 room studio apartment with balcony, sleeping 1-3 persons or the whole floor, sleeping 8 persons. The air-conditioned apartments were fully renovated and modernly furnished in 2006. Free access to wireless high-speed Internet.

The beautiful, panoramic, 100 M2 roof-terrace with all facilities is however the most fantastic feature of Attico Aurelia Antica! It is reserved for our guests only. We have 12 garden chairs and 5 deck chairs. Dining table for 6-8, sofa group for 5. BBQ and shower. And lots of wonderful flowers, orange/lemon trees, palms, and herbs for your cooking. Enjoy the sunset in your private heaven after your hard tourist days!

Notes:
Smoking is permitted only on the terraces. The apartment is situated on the 3rd floor and there is no lift/elevator, but 65 low 'Renaissance'-steps a few times a day will only increase our health! Moreover, the local shops will gladly bring your heavy purchases to your Roman home without a surcharge. The apartment was fully renovated and furnished in 2006. I, Hanne Retvik Lombardo, am personally taking care of the rental and have been living only 2 minutes away for the last 13 years (totally 30 years in Rome, after leaving my home country Norway). It's a very nice area, with just a short way to the city centre (bus 881 or 98), but we also enjoy the quietness of the countryside.

A great family adventure

We spend almost 6 weeks in Hannes apartement in Rome. A family of five, with three children at the age of 9, 11 and 13. Mum had to study in the city, while the rest of the family tried to live a every-day-life in Aurelia Antica. The apartement is SO nice, beautiful terraces....The children did their homework outside, and we had all of our meals outside. We took some trips to the seaside, and we spent time in Rome. We wanted to see everything!
The hole family really wants to go back, the children talks about the people they got to know in the neigborhood.
The busses into the city went all the time, and i really recomend the place. H.

We enjoyed our stay in Rome and Hanne was a very helpful and welcoming hostess. We were disappointed that we were not able to use the very nice terraces as the weather was too chilly, but it was January!
The living room is not as featured in the website, there is a permanent double bed where the sofa is seen in the pictures. This makes it difficult to use the room as a sitting room, probably not a problem in the summer but a pity when it is the main living space.
The welcome pack is very expensive and not well balanced, it does not provide any fresh milk, butter, cereals and other essentials. This was a problem over the weekend we stayed as all the local shops were closed for the whole of Saturday and Sunday and we had no warning of that.
It can take quite a long time to get into the centre of Rome, much longer than advertised on the website. We did manage to get to the Vatican in 45 minutes from leaving the flat but it took 90 minutes to get to the Colosseum.
Unfortunately this experience really detracted from the enjoyment of our holiday.
All things considered I would recommend staying here in the summer and avoiding holiday weekends when public transport is reduced and local shops closed.

Perfect Roman Holiday

"Myself, my partner and our daughter stayed in the penthouse for one week. The location was ideal and very well connected by public transport only 10-15mins by bus to st.peteres and 10mins away from Waterpark). The welcome was lovely and so personal. Hanne provided all the local information we needed for an informed stay (shops/restaurants/groceries/attrations/historical etc). The property itself was spotless inside and out, fully fitted with anything we could have possibly needed for our stay (perfect for self catering). The terraces were gorgeous filled with beautiful flowers, perfect for relaxing under the roman sun. Our stay in Rome was indescribably enjoyable and the accommodation was perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning to stay in Rome and have passed the details on to all our family and friends.

A perfect holiday - a very charming apartment

In May 2008 we were 7 girls visiting Rome. We wanted to live together, not in a hotel, and then the apartment was perfect. Beautiful furnitures, lovely bathrums and good beds. We couldnt ask for more. :) We bought locale breakfast, wine and fresh fruits in the shop nearby, and it was so nice and tasty. What is better than eat and drink together at the penthouse terrace, with a beatuiful view? After a long day in town we used the sunbeds in the sun to relax. And, Hanne, you were so service minded. I would love to visit Rome again, and I would not stay anywere else than in your place.

Fantastic place to stay in Rome!

I lived here for 3 weeks in Januar 2008. The appartement is lovely, clean, attractive and is situated a 10 minutes from the heart of Rome. Easy access to bus that stops right by St.Peters church, or you can go off at the last stop and you're in the citycentre. Hanne (the owner) is a wonderful landlord, very helpful with everything from booking tickets to booking restaurants, limo to and from the airport and with every other thing you need assistance for. There are shops close by the appartement where you can buy food and drinks, there is a sports centre with swimmingpool nearby, and many other fascilities..The place was perfect, very practical, the service was perfect and i had a wonderful, enjoyable stay in safe and quiet surroundings in a very nice area.
