Blacksmith Lodge (a 2200-square-foot unit) is one of the most luxurious properties on the mountain with features such as heated slate floors, private deck with eight-person hot tub, a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, a great room with gas fireplace and panoramic views of Big White and the Monashee Mountains.
There are two spacious bedrooms on the upper level, both with ensuite bathrooms with luxurious rain showers. The master also boasts a warm and inviting gas fireplace. The third bedroom, on the lower level, has a single/twin bunkbed, and the lower family room offers a very comfortable queen size pull out couch. These sleeping quarters share a bathroom with bath/shower.
The main floor living room is elegantly finished with rustic hardwood floors, deep couches, fireplace, and a full entertainment center, while the lower level family room features a large couch plus chair, armoire with TV, VCR, Sony PlayStation, and a number of board games - IDEAL FOR KIDS!
Trails less than ten steps out the back door provide among the best Ski-In/Ski-Out access on the mountain. The lodge is located only a few minutes from both the Village Centre and Happy Valley Gondola base, which hosts several skating rinks, an inner tube park, plus a number of other activities.
A private heated garage, offers a comfortable, convenient, and warm change area, complete with benches, racks, and hooks for gear and clothing.
To keep up with your e-mails, we have provided free high-speed wireless internet access for our guests.
Big White Ski Resort is Canada's largest ski-in/ski-out resort with an average snowfall of 25 feet of 'champagne powder' snow. It has 118 designated trails, 27 unnamed trails, and lots of pristine skiing in the powder bowls and tree glades; 18% of the runs are beginner, 56% intermediate, and 26% expert.
We have put a great deal of thought in making the lodge as cozy and comfortable as possible, to ensure our guests will have a wonderful, worry-free holiday!

About The Owner
My wife and I grew up in Mississauga a suberb of Toronto Canada. Ever since our first ski vacation in B.C. we have had an overwhelming desire to move closer to the mountains, so when the chance to relocate to Seattle for a job opportunity arose, we jumped at the opportunity. Within the first year we discovered the Okanagan and immediately fell in love. We started vacationing there so frequently that we eventually took the plunge and purchased our place at Big White. A world class ski hill 3 steps out our backdoor. It just doesn't get any better than this!!!

Simply put the snow and the people. There is nothing quite like floating down a ski hill in two feet of fresh light champagne powder. Add in the fact that the hospitality of the staff makes this big mountain feel like a small mountain resort. And when all this is literally three steps out your back door, purchasing became a very simple decision.
What makes this townhome unique
Aside from the quality of the unit and all of its' finishing three things set us apart from almost all other properties on the mountain. Our ski-in ski-out location is second to none. Trails down to the Show Ghost, Ridge Rocket and Plaza chair are three steps out our backdoor and you can ski to the foot of our driveway at the end of the day. Our location ensures that we will always have completely unobstructed spectacular views of the Monashee mountains. Our unit has a private heated garage complete with hooks, racks and benches which makes it a breeze to get out on the mountain in the morning.
