Lys is an sbsolutely gorgeous holiday cottage, beautifully decorated and extremely romantic. The mezzanine floor bedroom is just stunning, and the skylight revealing the stars at night is the final perfect touch to this idyllic hideaway. Very well equipped, maintained and cleaned,
Les Fleurs are situated in stunning Loire countryside, with supermarkets, restaurants and wine caves nearby within easy reach with a car. On the property itself there are two other gites, each with their own entrance and private garden/patio; and a communal garden and pool with a kids play area, plenty of deckchairs, kids toys and pool toys! Sue and Jon also have a stash of videos and dvds with a large childrens collection, boules sets, childrens toys and many board games which can be booked out.
As for the owners, Sue and Jon are the holiday cottage owners you dream of visiting. Extremely friendly and welcoming they know the exact balance between being available and eager to help when needed, while leaving guests to enjoy their holiday and privacy. They offer a meal service where Sue shares her culinary talents and local french delicacies with the guest for a small fee. I would definitely reccommend this service one night during your stay as Sue's cooking is amazing!
There are plenty of fantastic traditional restaurants in the area which Sue and Jon can recommend and they have never once made a bad recommendation in the many years that I've stayed with them.
Doue zoo is a brilliant day trip with the family or not, myself and my boyfriend went one year and had a great day out! Visiting Ambois and Saumur are musts as they are such pretty towns, and the troglodyte village is fascinating!
The atmoshpere on Les Fleurs is very peaceful, each gite feels private and each one has a very different atmosphere and layout to it. It is the perfect site for combining a peaceful family holiday with plenty of opportunities for relaxed sightseeing or days spent lazing by the pool, and evenings spent dining in the gardens/patios of the gites or battling it out with other guests and Sue and Jon in a boules tournament if you so wish.
This is the perfect holiday, the one you dream about having and the amount of returning guests seen at Les Fleurs is tribute to that. I have actually lost count of the amount of times I've stayed there now, havoing had a fantastic time each visit, and know that I will be back again very soon!

This plus the information which we have gathered over the years and pass onto our guest including, Chateaux, restaurants, the best wines and vineyards, things to do and places to visit to make your holiday.
Also our special home made 4 course evening meals are readily taken up and ordered again and again.
